 I ran Timpanogas half marathon Saturday.  It was a beautiful and fun race. 

Farmer Cade - 07/22/2017

This kid is so cute and happy!  I love to play with him.  Lately he has been having fun playing with this little barn that Grammy and Grampy gave to Cameron when he was a baby!

RSL game - 07/22/2017

 A friend from Cameron's soccer team has season tickets to the RSL games.  They couldn't use them tonight so they offered them to us.  We ate a yummy dinner and had great seats!!

It was a good game!  We had lots of fun.  Cameron thought it was fun to go back inside and get the popcorn and drinks.  I thought it was fun to sit on the cushioned seats!

Aunt Michele visits - 07/19/2017

 We love when Aunt Michele comes to visit.  The kids always say they wish Aunt Michele never moved to Arizona.  In fact, Mackenzie will sometimes tell me she wishes I went back to work so Aunt Michele could tend her again.  Thats some serious love!

Eat Mor Chikin - 07/11/2017

 We went to Chick-Fil-A for dress like a cow day!    We love Chick-Fil-A and eat there weekly...so why not dress up and get free food right?!  We decided to go for breakfast when it would be less crowded.  When we got there we happened to see our good friends the McCulloughs!  They were stopping for breakfast on their way to Lagoon.   

The kids thought it was so much fun and felt sad that daddy didn't get to go with us.  I even made a shirt for him!  So we pulled a fast one and went to a different Chick-Fil-A for dinner.  I felt a little guilty, but in my defense we do eat there at least once a week!

Proud Mama!! - 07/08/2017

 Cameron had been telling me he wanted to do a triathlon for awhile, so I found him a good kid one to do.  He was super excited when I told him I signed him up.  Jeremy wasn't so excited once he found out it was the same day as the soccer tournament finals game.  We argued back and forth that he shouldn't do the race (Jeremy) and that he could do both (me).  Since the race started at 8:00 am I knew he would for sure be done by 10:00 and the game didn't start until 12:00 but he had to be there by 11:30.  We were going to be FINE! The funny thing we found out a week before the race was a friend on Cameron's soccer teams sister was doing the same triathlon.  So we saw them there at the beginning.

There was an adult triathlon right before the kids one, so the kids race kept getting delayed.  They were both using the same course but the distance was different, so the turnaround for the kids bike and run were just shorter.  Jeremy was getting more and more agitated that the race wasn't starting.  Every minute that ticked away, he kept saying "we aren't going to make it to his game...we just need to leave, he can't do this..."  The race finally started around 8:30...Cameron jumped in the pool with the first wave of kids so he didn't have to wait around any more and he could get done sooner.  Pretty soon HE WAS the FIRST ONE out of the pool (just like he thought he might be).  And off he ran to the transition area to get his shoes on.  He was several minutes ahead of anyone else.  He took off on his bike and it wasn't until a few minutes later the next kid even got out of the pool.  At that point Jeremy realized we would be fine, we would make it to the game in time.  However, we started to get worried after 20 minutes and no Cameron.  Then pretty soon the kid that was a few minutes behind Cameron came cruising back on his bike.  I wondered if Cameron fell or if he slowed down (way down), if he just took a break?  Then another kid came back!  Where was Cameron?  By that time I got Jeremy and said I thought something was wrong.  Then I heard another mom say that she heard "some kid blew by the volunteer and he couldn't stop him".  I knew it must have been Cameron.  I talked to the race director, who wasn't very helpful.  She just said that they were trying to find..."a boy on a green bike" . Yup that was Cameron.  So Jeremy took off with the stroller, that had Cade and my purse in it.  He decided he would walk along the path and see if he could get to him somehow.  Jordan River Parkway runs forever!  It goes from Lehi clear to Salt Lake.  And you can't get anywhere on the trail in a car.  So while Jeremy left, I waited and tried to remain calm.  I asked the workers why they didn't send someone on a bike to go find him, or send out the golf cart.  They didn't really have an answer except "they didn't want to alarm anyone" and "we wouldn't be able to catch up to him at this point he was going too fast."  I was scared and MAD!  Anyway, I told them I was going to call the police to start looking.  He could be anywhere on the trail, it wasn't the safest place for an 8 year old alone.  As I was about to call the police, my phone rang and it was a lady asking me if I had a son named Cameron.  She told me she had him safe at her car and that he had found her at the golf course and asked her for directions.  She said he was scared and asked "do you know where Riverton is, I am doing a triathlon and I think I am too far."  She told him he was in Sandy.  He had ridden from 12600 south to 80th south on his bike in the 90 degree weather without any water!  She gave him some water and kept him company until we came to get him.  Jeremy had my keys in my purse that was in the stroller with him.  So I had to wait for Lily to finish the race so her dad could take us to pick up Cameron.  Her mom had already left with Sam to take him to the soccer tournament...the one Cameron was supposed to be at!!   We all crammed into their car, picked up Cameron and then stopped and picked up Jeremy and Cade. It was a tight squeeze with 3 adults, 4 kids, and two bikes,  and one stroller...we had to sit on laps.   The lady was so nice and she said that all Cameron kept telling her was "I was in first place, I would have won, but I went too far!"  Apparently he was following the biking signs for the adult triathlon that was before them.  We got back to my car.  I went to the race director to return the ankle timing chip to her and told her I had found my child no thanks to them!  We made it to the soccer game 3rd quarter and Cameron got to play a little bit.  They lost :(   It ended up being a bummer of a day.  However, Cameron said he wanted to do another triathlon since he didn't get to finish that one.  So luckily he wasn't traumatized!

4th of July at the Lakes - 07/04/2017

 Enjoying our annual trip to Last Chance Lakes.  Our kids always look forward to the 4th of July so they can waterski.  Cameron is doing so good.  This time he started from the water and he got up and kept going.  He never fell...we finally had to just stop and tell him his turn was up!

 Mackenzie is loving waterskiing too.  She skied on the ski skimmer and she never fell either.  She is super strong and had lots of fun!

 Cade could play in the sand and in the water all day.  In fact, he was so mad when we had to leave.  

 Grammy and Cade had fun watching everyone waterski and wakeboard by on the dock.
