Grammy T came to visit!

 There's nothing like having Grammy T come visit.  The kids had their trip to build a bear, which is a favorite for Cameron.  He got another Smurf and Mackenzie got a cute Zebra.  

 It's always an action packed weekend, trying to fit everything in in a few days before she heads home.  We wish she could stay longer, the time flies by too fast!  They rode the train at the mall, and the ferris wheel at Scheels (Grammy T took one for the team, she doesn't like Ferris Wheels).

 Who knew there were so many photo opportunities at Scheels?

 Mackenzie loves her cousin Macey.  She fell asleep on her at the movie "Return to Oz"

 Grammy T came with us to church on Mother's Day and after we went down town to walk around temple square and go to the visitor center.  It was freezing cold!!  The flowers were beautiful and the kids enjoyed seeing everything tough.  We ate a yummy dinner at Cheese Cake Factory at City Creek.  Grammy T went home that evening.  It's always hard to say good bye.

a little get away

 We planned a little trip to St. George for the weekend.  On the way there we made a pit stop to gas up and go to this petting zoo (it's actually at the gas station!)

We saw a Zdonky....??  Zebra/donkey mix....who knew?

 We had a picnic and played at the park one day with Grammy and Grampy.  They came to our hotel to watch the kids swim....we did lots of swimming, enjoyed good weather and had a great time!

 We went out to dinner after a long day at the park and swimming.  Cameron swam his heart out.  He fell asleep at the restaurant before dinner even came!

 Nothing like jumping on the hotel bed.  They were so excited to sleep in the "couch bed" that they didn't fall asleep for a few hours after they got in bed.

 We had a fun trip.  The kids love the little get away to St. George.  Mackenzie was so sad to leave.  She realized half way home when we got back in the car from the petting zoo that we weren't going back to the "ho-tail" (how she says it, with an accent).  She started crying.  The next day she said the dinner prayer and she prayed that we could go back to the "ho-tail" and back to "St. George soon".  She actually prayed to go back to the "ho-tail" and on "our trip" 3 separate times the next day.  It was fun to have Grammy and Grampy down there with us too.  I wish I had taken some pictures of the kids swimming.  Cameron is quite the swimmer and Mackenzie loves to splash around in the water!

 I have passes to pretty much everywhere you can think...so the kids and I go do fun stuff several times a week.  I don't always take pictures but both these days Jeremy was camping with the young men for his church calling so we kept him updated.  First we played mini golf....so fun with these two if you aren't impatient :)

 Mackenzie is getting so brave.  last year I had to ride on this with her, she didn't even want to go on it.  This year she has been raising her hands and screaming/laughing.   We rode this ride at least 12 times in a row, but about 25 times total.

 This ride was their next favorite of the day.  We rode it about 20 times and 10 without even having to get off and get back in line (it wasn't busy).  She was a little nervous at first because the ride takes you to the top and then drops you, goes up and down several times. 

 Cameron and Kenzie earned enough "points" to do something fun so he chose Classic Skating.  They love to ride around on the skating rink and play in the jungle and bounce houses.  It was a nice quiet day there as well, not crowded at all...until a little later when some birthday parties showed up but we were done and leaving anyway!

Some of these bounce houses were huge and Mackenzie wasn't afraid of any of them.  If Cameron climbed up it, slid down it or crawled through it, so did she!  I love spending time with my kiddos.  They are so fun to hang out with!

Easter celebrations 2014

 The kids started getting excited for Easter after we went to the mall with Grammy and Grampy to meet the Easter Bunny.  They were so cute, they worked hard making pictures for him and couldn't wait to give them to him. 

 Technically we weren't allowed to take any pictures, they wanted you to buy theirs for $30 (the cheapest picture!)...but I got a few of Mr. Bunny.

 These masks they got were hilarious.

 Saturday before Easter was the Riverton Easter egg hunt.  It was insane how many kids were there, how many eggs were there, and how many seconds the whole thing lasted!  Yes I said seconds...ok maybe the little kids 0-2 years lasted a few minutes, but everything was over and done 5 minutes after it started!

 Cameron and Mackenzie were in different age groups so I was glad we went with some friends.  Cameron went with Jayden so I could help Kenzie.  Jeremy got there a few minutes after it started, and like I said it was over...he missed it :)

 We were able to take pictures with the bunnies and Mackenzie was so funny, she wanted to show him all the stuff she got in her basket.

 Easter morning the kids looked for their baskets.  The Easter bunny hid Cameron's basket in a hard to find place.  He eventually found it and thought it was funny the bunny hid it in the pantry on top of the garbage can.

 The kids and I made "resurrection rolls".  They helped me roll a giant marshmallow in butter, cinnamon and sugar and then roll it up in a Pillsbury croissant.  Then we baked them, but when we went to eat them, the marshmallow disappeared.  It wasn't in the roll anymore, so we talked about the resurrection and the meaning of Easter.

 I tried to get some cute pictures of them before church but it was too sunny outside....

 .....and it was too hard to stand still inside.  So these were as good as it gets.  Still pretty cute though!

 After church we headed to Grammy and Grampy's house for Easter dinner and the egg hunt.  Mackenzie had fun and just like to take her time.   Cameron was on a mission.  A mission to find the Golden Egg (he found it a few years ago) that has $5 in it.  He found about 30 other eggs though, Lindsie found the Golden Egg this year.

 The funniest thing is we went to Grammy and Grampy's house a few days later to visit and Cameron was outside playing and ran inside to tell us he found an egg.  He wanted to know if it was okay for him to pick it up and open it.  Grampy hid the eggs really well.

 Everyone was there except Janessa.  She was enjoying Easter at College this year. 

 Then everyone went to open their eggs and count their money.  It was so funny because Mackenzie wasn't expecting money in the eggs, she was expecting candy.  So she would toss her money aside and when she got a chocolate or something in an egg that was exciting and she would eat it.

I brought some dessert this year....it was a chocolate fountain with lots of fun stuff to dip in the chocolate.  It was a wonderful dinner with lots of laughs and the cousins had a blast playing together. I love my family and the traditions we have.  Thanks mom and dad!
