Who makes these things???

So I bought some new child locks yesterday since Cameron laughs in the face of the other child locks! These should work shouldn't they??
I put one on in the kitchen to test it out and see what he thought. He checks it out....

He doesn't hesitate.....
He shows that child lock who's boss....

.... and mission accomplished! Seriously, he has been Houdini since day one. I think whoever is inventing these child locks that a 10 month old laughs at, should start thinking of a few new ideas. So much for that lock. Guess I will go buy and try lock #4

Right after Cameron busted off the child lock, he went in his room and came out with his night light. Before I could take it from him he threw it right on the kitchen floor and this is the end result. The glass shattered and for having such a tiny light bulb there sure was a lot of glass everywhere!! I had to vacuum the whole kitchen. I think I am going to start naming my posts "Lord help me" Right now might be a good time to announce that Cameron is going to be an only child :)

Clean up on isle 8!

This kid is FAST! You can't open the fridge or the dishwasher without him climbing into them! He is obsessed with them both. He pulls things off the shelves really fast...notice the butter by his foot. Well, the OJ was next...I probabaly could have avoided that, but figured I would risk it and take a picture :) So as you all know Cameron is full of energy and is very active. Now that he walks he doesn't like to be contained. So instead of sitting in the grocery cart seat buckled in he has to stand in the actual cart where the food goes. He holds onto the side and chatters and laughs as we go up and down the isles reaching for things and sometimes pulling them off the shelf. Grocery shopping has become a full contact sport lately and today I got my workout. He was throwing things out of the cart faster than I could pick them up and put them back in. It was funny and cute at first I could handle picking up the crackers and the boxed items, but seriously after he threw two of his glass baby jar bottles onto the ground as hard as he could causing them to shatter and splatter disqusting orange and barf green paste up my leg, all over the items on the shelf, and causing glass particals to ricochet off of the ground and into innocent bystandars' carts I was done shopping for the day!! I might rearrange my schedule and start going shopping after Jeremy gets home :) Lord help me!!

Swinging for the 1st time

We were all at Grammy & Grampy's today for the monthlyfamily dinner and "Grammy drawer" and Cameron wanted to go outside. He went over to the swings and kept pulling on them...so Jeremy put him in the yellow kid swing and he loved it! I ran back in to get the camera and when I got back out he wasn't laughing as hard, but he was still having a great time.

There's no stopping him now!

Cameron has been walking for several weeks now...I guess since he was 10 months old. He is so funny he loves to walk around the house holding onto something. This video he had my calandar. You can see how he is able to squat down and pick something up off the floor and stand back up without holding onto anything. He is really stable walking around and so strong too. Now that he can walk it's impossible to contain him...church is a challange, he doesn't love sitting in grocery carts like he used to. It's a huge accomplishment for him and it's fun to watch him explore and discover new things every day!

I heart BILLY JOEL

This post really doesn't need any words...in fact I am speechless just looking at the pictures and remembering the AWESOME concert!! So Jeremy got me tickets to see Billy and Elton (oh yeah Elton was there too...I like Elton but I love Billy) Anyway, so he gave me these tickets for our anniversary in November. You might remember this story from that post I did then. We had a weekend get a way in Park City and were supposed to go to the concert one of those nights, but it got cancelled because Billy or Elton was sick. Total bummer. But they just rescheduled it for Feburary 19th. I am just now posting these pictures because being the great law abiding citizen and upstanding rule follower that I am :) I honored the rule of NO CAMERAS ALLOWED. Not wanting to risk them finding it in my purse during the purse search, pat down, wand screening you go through to get into a concert and having to walk it all the way back to the car and then miss the beginning of the show! I was just a little ticked off when EVERYONE except ME had a camera. It was quite annoying and distracting to see all the flashes going off every second. So how did I get these pictures you ask?? Well, there just happened to be 3 very drunk and obnoxious older ladies sitting in front of us. I be-friended them (after cursing that we got stuck behind idiots who were trying to out sing Billy and Elton and were taking more pictures of each other than of the concert) However, it always pays to be nice to people right? So I happened to ask one of them if they would email me some pictures. After waiting several months I figured she was either too drunk to remember our conversation or was just flakey. Well much to my surprise I opened up my email today and YIPPEE this is what I saw.

The concert was Billy and Elton Face Off Tour...so they had their pianos facing each other and they played a lot of songs together and then Billy left the stage and Elton sang by himself and then it was Billy's turn to do what he does best....entertain!!
The thing I love about Billy is he engages the audience and is so funny and active. He cracks jokes, plays the piano with his butt and it acutally sounds good...he twirls the microphone and doesn't miss a beat. Elton is a great singer and has great music, but he seems to have an inflated sense of self and is too serious (I have no idea how he can take himself serious with the outfits he wears!) He changed a few times during the show too.

What doesn't this guy do?? He plays the harmonica, guitar, piano, sings, dances, tells jokes... Thanks again Jeremy for getting me these tickets it was an AWESOME night. I Billy is the only concert I would ever pay that much money to see and leave thinking I would have paid even more because he is just that good!!

Yay for Spring!!

I love this tree in our front yard. I love Spring. I love all the pretty flowering trees we have in our yard! I love that Cameron and I get to play outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. He played in the sand pile for the first time and we played on the swing set today...he laughs when we swing (that didn't suprise me).

Sweet Dreams

I usually sneak into Cameron's room a few times at night after we put him down and this is why!! He is so stinkin cute. I love how he just cuddles his dog/blankie. The sleeping position doesn't look too comfy though. I can't wait until morning time, but I do wish it didn't come as early as 6! And the last week it's been 5:30 am!!

This was another night I snuck in...he is sucking on the arm of his dog/blankie! I just want to squeeze him :)

Mowing the lawn is fun to do

Cameron has FUN doing ANYTHING! He loves to do anything new. Jeremy saw our neighbor mowing the lawn with his kid in a similar carrier, so that gave him the idea to use the Kelty Backpack that Margo & Rick gave us. I think we are going to get a lot of use out of this thing (thanks a ton!)

All the snow has finally melted and I think Spring has sprung! We couldn't wait to get out in the yard and start the yard work and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Daddy and Cameron had a fun time bonding while mowing the lawn. I sure love my cute family!

Pants on the ground...

Cameron LOVES to take clothes out of drawers and off shelfs and hangers...as you can see!! We play this game several times a day :)

Hmmmm....what can I do now?

I think I will climb onto the shelf....I've never tried that before! What a little smarty stinker pants!! He definitely keeps himself and me entertained all day. I'm not sure how many times I've folded my jeans and put clothes back in drawers?? Aww who's counting it's all fun and games :)

All clean

Cameron is such a happy kid. He loves life! Daddy just finished giving him a bath and is going to get ready for bed now. As much as I NEED the break, quiet, and get stuff done time....I just can't help but miss him when he is sleeping. How could you not miss this smile??

Spring...Utah style

Jeremy and I took advantage of the nice day and went skiing on Saturday. We have had a few snow storms the last week or two so there is still a lot of snow on the mountains. Snowbird is open until the end of May!

We had a great time...the weather was awesome. We both got some much needed sun. I wish I would have gotten a picture or actually a video of Jeremy when he fell off this little ledge/cliff of snow trying to get over to where I was. I was laughing soooo hard I couldn't stop. We finally headed down the rest of the run and I was laughing the entire way down just thinking of it...I am sure people thought I was crazy just laughing out loud so hard as I am going down the hill.

The scenery is so beautiful up there. I LOVE the Utah mountains and all the Pine trees and snow. What a great day! Thanks Easter Bunny for giving me tickets in my Easter basket :)

Pure Entertainment

Cameron cracks me up! He LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I caught a little bit of him watching the video Grammy & Grampy gave him for Easter. I can't believe he knows what is funny at 10 months old and laughs at it. Cameron seriously just loves to laugh. I have so much fun with him all day....I'm not sure who laughs more him or me!

Hmmmmm......

I am going to focus on the positive here!

Camron has a lot of determination, will, drive, stick-to-it-ness, energy, focus, creativeness, courage, strength and conviction! Once he has his eye on something and knows what he wants he doesn't stop until he gets it...that will get him far in life right?? He must have really wanted something in the bathroom cabinet to break through the child lock and rip the door off its hinge. We might want to up-grade our locks to metal chains or something?!?!

"Hoppy" Easter

Cameron had fun digging into his Easter basket...I decided it was best to never let him know about that dumb fake green grass that gets everywhere. What he doesn't know won't hurt him right??

Oh WOW, I am drooling just thinking about how delicioius this chunky cinnamon french toast with cinnamon syrup was. I had to make the concoction the night before and let it all soak into the bread then I baked it in the morning. I think this will be our new tradition for Easter breakfast :)

The Easter Bunny put a frame in Jeremy's basket that said "Daddy&Me"...for him to take to work. So I took this picture for him to put in it.

Our cute family

Grammy was explaining to the kids about the egg hunt and that the eggs were hidden all over the house this year because it snowed for Easter! There was a million dollar bill hidden in one of the eggs for one lucky grandkid...and the other eggs had either candy or money in them. On your mark get set GO!

After the egg hunt, everyyone sat on the floor to see how much money the got and to see who was lucky enough to get the million dollar egg.

And the winner is....CAMERON! He found the million dollar egg.

Margo thought if she held Cameron that she might be able to steal the million dollars :)
The million dollar bill was traded in for a five dollar bill...pretty fair eh? It was a fun Easter celebration. This year we also celebrated Janessa's bday since it was the next day. This year it was fun to have Jeremy's brother and his wife and their kids come celebrate with us. They recently moved to Utah to represent the Cunningham side.

Too cute not to post!!

I can't handle how cute this kid is! I LOVE being a mom. Cameron is so dang fun, smart, funny and cute...

I could watch Cameron ALL day (oh wait I do). I was laughing so hard when I watched him turn his train the first time. I didn't think he meant to do it, but apparently he knows he doesn't want to get stuck or run into something so he turns his train. It might have been the lecture about him ruining stuff in the house and it coming out of his allowance...maybe he decided he didn't want to crash into the furniture :)

The little man is walking!! I didn't get a good video of it, but he takes about 10 to 12 steps by himself at this point.

Walking...with some help

There's no stopping him now! I decided to take the the seat off of his train and see if he would walk with the other part (that is what the toy is for). I should of had my camera ready before I decided to try this, since I didn't I caught him in the middle of him taking off! He did this non-stop for about 40 minutes all around the house. He loves to learn new things!
