Primary

Cameron loves primary and has the best teachers that make it interesting and fun.  His Sunbeam class was in charge of the prayer, scripture and talk on Sunday during sharing time.  So Cameron volunteered to give the talk and his primary teachers said to me, "we knew Cameron would be the only one who would actually get up there and give a talk."

The topic was "Jesus and Heavenly Father created the Earth for us" so I bought this Earth/globe ball as one of the visual aides.  I had several other things in the bag to go along with his talk.  He would hold them up when he was talking about them.  He talked about his favorite flower....when I was helping write the talk he said it was a "daisy....because a daisy is a flower after all" and his favorite animals were "hippopotomussus, mooses, giraffes, and lions" so he held those up when he talked about the animals Jesus and Heavenly Father created and put on the Earth.  He did such an awesome job.  He spoke into the microphone and spoke clear and loud.  He didn't get shy at all or embarassed.  He was so excited and thought it was cool.  I am so proud of Cameron.  He always amazes me.  I wasn't sure if he would get shy or not want to do it.  The little girl that gave the prayer ended up not talking loud enough so you could only hear the person helping her and the little boy in his class that gave the scripure was too shy so his mom ended up saying it for him.  The kids are only 3 and it's a new expeience for them, so it only makes sense to "chicken out", but not Cameron!

He wanted me to take a picture where the world looked like it was his head.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's morning the kids woke up to their gifts and daddy made heat shaped french toast.
Then grampy came over to play with Mackenzie so I could go help at Cameron's school party.

He had lots of fun passing out his Cars Valentines with Lightening McQueen suckers.

It's hard to wait patiently for everyone to pass out the candy/cards so the boys started wresteling around.

It was cute to watch the boys wrestle and see Cameron have fun with his friends.

All the kids want to sit on the teachers lap of course....

Cameron had fun helping me decorate his Valentine box, I wish I had a picture of the back.  He spent a lot of time drawing and coloring on it.  He put stickers and I put some vinyl on the back that said "I brake for candy".

Playing Valentine Bingo....

And Valentine bean bag toss.  They also decorated sugar cookies, but I didn't get a chance to take any pictures.  I was too busy passing out candy and helping the kids frost their cookies.  It was a fun day and I am glad I volunteered to help, it was lots of fun.  This helped it seem more like Valentine's Day since Grammy and Grampy didn't get to have the annual Valentine's Party at the Family Fun Center this year.  With my mom still recovering from her broken femur bone (surgery) she isn't getting out and around very well yet.  So we look forward to the whobilation next year!  After Cameron's party I ended up at the dentist with an infected gum where they put a temporary crown...so they fixed that and I was able to eat dinner at Training Table with Jeremy and the kids!  Another Valentines over.

A glimpse.....

into my life.  Some days are just like this....and I wouldn't change a thing!!

I was playing with Mackenzie in her room and pulled this tutu off the shelf.  I was going to throw it away because I have no idea when she will ever wear it?!  Apparently she thought it would be a great time to wear it and was adamant she put it on.  How does she even know what it is, where it goes, and how to put it on??

The tutu wasn't enough of a costume, she had to go get Cameron's snow hat and put it on

I don't remember what happened after the cute twirling around like a ballerina (again, I don't know how she even knew you are supposed to twirl around while wearing a tutu), but something provoked her to pull a full nelson on her brother!  It may or may not have had something to do with him taking the hat.  I honestly was laughing to hard to remember.

I am sure he won't like this picture when he gets in High School....but I LOVE it!

I may be wearing a tutu but I can still rough you up!!  Ok so after I took some pictures I broke up the wrestling match and all was well.  Cameron really was laughing during the whole thing.  He is a good sport.  And they have so much fun together!  Love these kids.

Caught in the act.....

I caught Mackenzie adding to her masterpiece she started the other day (on a different canvas than the pictures before).  I watched her just open the drawer get a sheet of stickers out and go straight over to the wall to stick them on there.  I decided not to take them down....however, if Cameron asks "yes Mackenzie got in trouble for putting those on the wall" :)

Mischievous Mackenzie

Oh boy we are in for it with this girl!  Cameron didn't try writing on the walls until a few weeks ago for the first time!  At least these were just stickers :)  She was entertaining herself by putting stickers all over the wall, on several walls actually.

Don't be fooled by this stinkin cute fact, she is all mischievous and probably thinking of what she is going to do next while I am taking this picture of her!  She keeps me on my toes that's for sure!!

Comedian Cameron

Cameron is such a "grown-up" kid and has always talked like he was much older than he is.  He says things like "oh I didn't realize that, thanks for telling me" and if I tell him that he shouldn't be doing something because it might break it or he might hurt himself, he says "oh no problem, I can just do it like this and then that won't happen."  Cameron is at such a fun age where he has friends over to play and I love to listen to his imagination!  He started primary several weeks ago and loves it.  He already knows a lot of the songs they sing and he knows the first article of faith now.  I helped fill in for one of the teachers last week and loved being in there watching and listening to Cameron.  He was reverent and sang the songs and was so eager to answer the teachers questions.  While they were coloring a picture of families, the teacher asked the children their parents' names and something they loved about their parents.  Well, Cameron said "did you know that all mommies are named Meg and all daddies are named Jeremy?"  Then he said, "my daddy shaves all his hair off and doesn't have any hair, but I still like him that way."  I laughed pretty hard!  Then when we got home from church he said to me "mom, say the Holy Ghost words to me and I will put this blanket on and be the Holy Ghost."  I wasn't sure what he was talking about "what do you mean the Holy Ghost words?"  And he proceeded to say the first article of faith, "we believe in God the eternal father, in his Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.....say that ok mom?"  WOW!!  A few more funny things Cameron said lately was when Mackenzie was babbling a bunch of words really fast Cameron said, "she is just saying it in Spanish."  And I was telling Cameron that we were going to have a new babysitter come over a few weeks ago to watch them and he said, "oh is she friendly?" and I said "yes she is" and he said, "is she beautiful?"  Well, at least the personality was before looks right?!  What a silly kid.  I need to write down all the other things he says during the day....there are way too many to remember!  I love this kid and how smart and hilarious he is.

Superheros!

This was one of my favorite days!  Watching brother and sister play so cute together...there isn't anything better!  They were playing superheros and it made me laugh.

They have a lot of fun together playing and Cameron loves to make Mackenzie laugh.  Mackenzie likes to tease Cameron and he thinks it's funny (for now anyway).  Cameron will take a bath with Mackenzie sometimes and lately I have thought to myself at what age do you stop sibling baths??  I also thought, I wonder when Cameron is going to notice and ask about different body parts.  Well, tonight in the bath he said, "oh no Kenzie hasn't grown a pee pee yet"  "how does she go poty out her bum?"  I turned my head so he couldn't see me laugh and then I gained my composure and told him that "she does have a pee pee....and that girls bodies and boys bodies are different".  He seemed okay with that answer and so we left it at that!  Oh man I need to practice my answers for these types of questions so I am not so caught off guard next time :)

Championship game :)

Cameron's last indoor soccer game.  A little boy on his team kept calling it the championship game.  Cameron did really well this soccer session, he scored several goals, made friends,  and had lots of fun!

The kick off....

listening to the coach hand out trophies and team pictures.  Cameron missed his game the Saturday we were in Hawaii (which happened to be team picture day!!) so he didn't get any pictures.

I am pretty sure he was excited about his trophy!!  He thought it was so cool the ball "twirled" around.  We brought the team treats....doughnuts and apple juice.  When Cameron was handing out the doughnuts one of the kids yelled "YES, finally someone brought doughnuts!"  Everyone was trying to bring healthy granola bars and stuff like that, but not me.  That kids comment made it worth me going to 3 different stores late Friday night to buy doughnuts!  The game was at 8 am Saturday morning so I knew we wouldn't be able to get them in the morning.

I am pretty sure if Mackenzie could talk, she would have been the kid that made the doughnut comment too :)  She wanted one the entire game and kept pointing to them!  In fact I had given the coach and his wife a doughnut and the wife set hers on her chair while she was gathering up her stuff.  Mackenzie swiped it and took a bite of it faster that the lady could pick up her purse.  It was pretty funny....I guess Mackenzie wanted the chocolate one that the lady picked not the white glazed one that was left for her :)

Notice the guy in the back pointing at Kenzie eating her doughnut.  They thought it was so funny.  It is bigger than she is, but she didn't have a problem tackling it.  In fact she threw a fit when Jeremy took it away for a minute to wipe her hands, she was a mess!  The chocolate and sprinkles are on the bottom, she insisted holding it upside down.
