Easter Fools! - 04/01/2018
4/1/18
This year Easter fell on April Fool's Day...so the Easter Bunny thought she would play a trick on the kids. She wrapped up grapes in the chocolate wrappers and put carrots and oranges in the eggs. Ha Ha! What a funny bunny!
Saturday we had a few Easter egg hunts to go to. The first one was at the Riverton Park. It's always so packed and happens so fast! But they each got a few things.
Then we went to the neighborhood egg hunt. Everyone drops off 10 eggs filled with candy for each kid doing the hunt. The Andrewsen family hides the eggs before the hunt. Every kid gets to find 10 eggs each. They have fun looking around the neighborhood and being with friends.

Temple dedication - 03/30/2018
3/30/18
The Jordan River Temple was closed for a few years to remodel and earthquake proof it. Our Stake was in charge of all the events leading up to the re-opening. My calling is a Beehive advisor in the Young Women so a lot of our Young Women activities and combined Young Men activities revolved around the re-opening of the temple. It was a spiritual thing for everyone involved. We went as a family to the re-opening/dedication. Cameron, Mackenzie and Cade got to walk through the temple and see all the rooms. They loved feeling the spirit and seeing how beautiful the temple is on the inside! I love how peaceful the temple is.

Turquoise hair - 02/17/2018
2/17/18
Mackenzie has been wanting her hair dyed for a long time. Today she was so excited to go visit cousin Lindsie at her school for her to dye her hair! Lindsie was so cute and did a great job. Mackenzie didn't realize how long it was going to take and how long she would have to sit there and wait! First she had to bleach the ends blond, then she could put the turquoise color on. It was a process but it was worth it to see how happy Kenzie was!
She couldn't stop smiling. I love this picture.
The color lasted about a week and then started fading. We went back and had it done again one more time about a month later. After that we let it grow out and slowly the color was gone...left with blond ends. Eventually a few hair cuts later and you could never tell she had it dyed!

Presidents Cup soccer tournament - 02/11/2018
2/8/18-2/11/18
Most of our family vacations revolve around Cameron's soccer and where the tournaments are! His team went to the Presidents Cup in Mesquite at the beginning of February. We decided to stay in St. George and drive to the tournament games each day. There is nothing to do in Mesquite and we like the Mariott pool in St. George.
Hide and seek with the cell phone...found it in the microwave thanks to Cade :)
Everyones favorite part of going to the hotel is riding on the luggage cart!

Sadly they lost all 3 of their games in the tournament. They had a new coach and were still trying to figure out his coaching style/strategy (which come to find out was not about winning!)
We still had a fun trip. We went out to eat as a team and the boys always have fun being together. The sunsets were amazing!

Sneaky, sneaky! - 02/06/2018
2/6/18
Cameron and daddy worked out a deal that if he got ready for soccer practice every day during the week and was ready to go on time he would get a treat. So it was one of the days Cameron earned his treat. After practice I took the kids to Maverik. They were taking forever to pick out what they wanted. Meanwhile Cade was down another isle...he didn't have any trouble picking out what he wanted! He came around the corner eating this thing and I was wondering where he got it...if he just found some gross food on the floor or what? So I went a few isles down and saw an opened wrapper with another candy still in it. So apparently he opened it, took one and left the evidence! I took it up and paid for it with all the other treats we got. Too bad he picked the grossest thing in the whole store...but I guess he like it!

Fun with Paw Paw - 02/03/2018
1/27/18-2/3/18
It's always fun when Paw Paw comes to visit. We usually cram a lot of stuff in to the few days he is here! We had dinner at Tepenyaki...it's always a great place to eat and the kids love watching them make your food and catch shrimp.
The main reason he came to town was to ski! I called Kenzie in "sick" for school one day and she went skiing with Paw Paw and Molly.
Another day we went to The Canyons. Jeremy had to work that day so I just took Cameron and Mackenzie. I told Jeremy it was good he didn't come...it saved us $135! I had no idea ski prices went up that high! I hadn't skied for a few years because I was pregnant with Cade one year and then was recovering the next year!
Paw Paw loves to ski and he is so patient to ski with the kids
It was a great day with this crazy group
It was a good day and we all had fun. So much fun the kids were worn out and wanted to leave early. So we took off while everyone else stayed and did a few more runs. The kids were asleep like 5 minutes after we drove off.
Another thing Paw Paw loves to do is play games! We enjoyed playing the silly game called Fibber.
Paw Paw got to go to one of Cameron's basketball games while he was in town. Cade sat with him for some of the game. He's not quite sure who Paw Paw is, but he warmed up to him pretty fast!
