8 months old

Little Cam is growing up so fast! He is 8 months old today. He is at such a cute and fun age, and can entertain himself for long periods of time (yeah!) I love watching his little personality come out more and more each day. Now that he is crawling there is no stopping him. He loves to explore and thought it would be fun to go under the saucer instead of in the saucer. He pulls himself up to things and can balance and stand on his own pretty well. It cracks me up the cute little noises he makes when he crawls to something he hasn't seen before. He recently decided he liked to eat food, including his veggies but fruit is his favorite & he likes rice cereal too. Cameron loves books, loves his toys that play music and make noise, and loves to be outside! Cameron enjoys going shopping and running errands with mommy...he is so curious and enjoys being around people and observing his surroundings. It works out great for both of us, we find somewhere to go every day so we aren't bored at home all day! Plus he still hates taking afternoon naps, unless he is in the car so he usually falls asleep on the ride home.
We LOVE you Cameron. Thanks for making our lives so much more meaningful and happy. I LOVE being your mom & best friend ;)

Ski (or snowboard) Utah!!

Jeremy and I had a GREAT day skiing and snowboarding. Although we weren't sure we would make it to Snowbird after we dropped Cameron off at my parents at 8:45 am, grabbed some bagels for breakfast and headed up the mountain. We hadn't even hit the base of the mountain yet and the traffic was horrible! It took us 2 hrs to get up the mountain. By the time we parked and got in line for our first run it was around 11:15. Then it took us about 1 1/2 hours to get through the line and down the hill for one run!! You can see how packed the lines are in this picture below (in the middle/bottom of the pic).

We knew it would be crowded because it was a Saturday and there was some pretty AWESOME snow. You can see how much powder there was in some places, you can't even see my board and the snow went to my waist in some spots! We figured we wouldn't get more than 3 runs in all day if we were lucky. But the lines died down after the back side of the mountain opened up. They closed a certain part of the resort to do avalanche control. So once they opened it up it opened up some other runs. We actually got in pleanty of runs to wear ourselves out and make ourselves sore!

The trees looked so pretty with all the snow on them. It was a cold day with it snowing, some wind and no sun, but we kept warm.

Jeremy thought this was the funniest sign, he had to stop and take a picture. There is a cat trail that runs in the middle of this hill, so the people that are skiing E/W have to watch for the ones coming down the hill. We had a great day and can't wait to hit the slopes again this winter (hopefully)!

Big day!!

A lot happened today!! First, Cameron started crawling!! I have a feeling my life will never be the same :) He was so proud of himself.
Second, we had to lower Cameron's mattress already because he has decided it's more fun to sit up in his crib and play instead of take a nap. I went in to check on him because he was just talking to himself and when I opened the door this is what I saw....I had to go get my camera!
He was so happy & just laughing...how do you tell a 7 1/2 month old "quit being so darn cute and happy and take a nap!" I just took pictures instead :)

So we lowered his mattress because he was pulling himself up to standing position and I could just see him trying to escape!

Third, we went to his helmet Dr. today for another follow-up appointment and he said it's looking great. They made a few adjustments to it and said to come back in 6 weeks and he should be done! The Dr. commented that "it sure hasn't stopped his hair from growing!" and I said I know he has a lot of hair...maybe we could market this helmet thing for older balding men, it seems to act as an incubator to grow hair! I might have to patent that idea...Jeremy could test it out for us :)

Too cute

I just can't help myself...I take way too many pictures of little Camster, but he is just so darn handsome!

I LOVE his smile & I get to see it all day because smiling is his favorite thing to do!

I thought this picture was cute because you can see his 2 bottom teeth. He is working on getting his top teeth now. (I think he looks a lot like his mommy's baby pictures here)

We went with my mom, sisters, & the kids to lunch today and then came back to my house to let the kids play and the adults chat. The kids had fun playing ping pong, hide & seek, basketball, and battleship. However, they seemed to have the most fun playing with Cameron and his toys. It is so cute how the cousins love him and are so interactive with him. This is a cute video of Lindsie playing peek-a-boo with Cam. He found a new noise/scream the last few days and loves to do it, plus it made everyone laugh!

Soooo close!

Cameron is getting so close to crawling as you will see in the video. He gets on his knees and rocks back and forth, then he will get into a sitting position and he ends up scooting and turning...I guess it's his own version of crawling. He is able to get to toys he wants that way. The only problem is once he gets flat on his tummy he starts to fuss unless he rolls over. He usually just fusses until I come over and sit him up again. He was tired when I filmed this little clip.

Choo-Choo

Cameron loves me to push him around the house on his little train. The first time I put him on the seat he reached out and grabbed the bars....I didn't even show him what to do! Pretty soon he will be able to scoot himself around the house on it.

Sweet Dreams

Cameron is such a good kid...he has been sleeping through the night for 3 months now. We have his little bedtime routine of getting down to his diaper and eating cereal in his high chair- he loves having his helmet off and will rub the back of his head back and forth on the high chair, then he plays in the bath-he loves when we wash his hair and give him a head massage...he closes his eyes and gets so relaxed, then he watches his video or plays until its time for his bottle, stories (if he stays awake while eating), and finally he gets his snuggle bear and is out like a light!
This is what I get to look at every night...some nights I don't want to leave the room. I think it is so cute how he snuggles with his bear!!

A Very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve is always spent at my parents house. We all get together for a yummy dinner & desserts & of course laughing...

Cameron was so cute, he just joined in the circle with all of his cousins and played with them. I love that we live around family and that Cameron will grow up playing with his cousins. There is nothing better than family!!

After dinner we get to open a gift. I remember as a kid that was the most exciting part. Now it's fun to watch the kids get excited!

This was our first Christmas in our new house and it's Cameron's very first Christmas. Last year Jeremy & I were living with my parents & I was pregnant...now Cameron is 7 months old!

Grammy & Grampy never forget about Tica...here she is licking her chops after she opened a present from them that included many treats and toys! Good thing for them because I sure forgot about Tica this year...she is pretty low on the totem pole these days.

Cameron got the hang of opening his gifts right off the bat. He had more fun with the wrapping paper than the presents though :)

Daddy & Cam opening up a gift. Notice Jeremy's gift....a leaf blower that blows, sucks & mulches! Apparently he and my dad were watching an infomercial one day about these & he thought it was the greatest invention, all they had to say was "no more raking leaves" and Jeremy was sold.

After we opened our gifts from Santa Grammy J & Grampy came over for breakfast and to exchange gifts. Jeremy begged me to make the Christmas Danish wreath that my mom made every year when we were kids. I made the mistake of asking my mom to teach me how to make it last year when we were living with them & all it took was Jeremy tasting it last Christmas morning to get hooked! I had no idea how much time, sweat, & love my mom put into that breakfast wreath every year. Well, I put a lot of time, sweat, love & a few swear words into the Christmas wreath this year when I attempted to make it myself. It is a process I tell ya...there are at least 15 steps and 5 different times you have to put it in the fridge for 1 hour or 1/2 hour or 3 hours before you can move onto the next step. What have I gotten myself into???!! All I can say is thanks mom for always making Christmas so special & for keeping up traditions!

Nobody knows how to make Cameron smile & laugh like Grampy does!! Cameron LOVES Grampy & they have some special bond that is just there. Cameron was laughing soooo hard with Grampy & him shaking the bells. I got it on video too! This kid loves to laugh and his laugh is contagious. I tried ringing the bells the next day and apparently I can't ring them like Grampy because I only got a courtesy smile :)

Cam loved playing with his new barn Grammy J & Grampy gave him. He still enjoys the door jumper too (that was an early Christmas gift). The barn kept him entertained for a long time! We went to Michele's house for Christmas lunch and then to Margo's for Dinner....it was a great Christmas!

Grammy T flew in Christmas night at midnight, so we had Christmas with her the next day.

She spoiled Cameron (as usual) and he had fun with all the cool toys she brought him!

He was super excited with his train she gave him. He will get a lot of good out of this...it's a "sit to stand train" so you can push him around on it and then unhook the seat part and he can use it to push and help him to walk. Plus it has tons of blocks & buttons & music.

A cute picture of Cameron in his pajamas after his bath. He is always in such a good mood & happy! It's hard to get used to him without his helmet on because he wears it at least 23 hours a day & he is sooo cute with it on!

Grammy T took this picture while he was eating his peaches. He still doesn't like eating anything besides his bottle. We've moved onto cereal and he isn't really interested in that either, he totally gags and spits it up.

Just one of the cute outfits Grammy T bought him....he is fun to shop for!!

One day we all went to the Chipmunk movie & they had the Chipmunk statues by the theater so we couldn't resist taking a picture. Cameron & his cousin Emma....

Jeremy's brother Garry (Jr.), his wife Alicia and thier kids Emma, Macey, & Molly just moved to Utah from Maryland a few days before Christmas. So it was fun to have them around. Especially since Jeremy's mom came to town...she got to be with all of us!

The last day Grammy T was here we met up with Alicia & her girls at Classic Skating. I thought it would be a fun place to let Grammy T spend time with her grandkids and watch the girls get their energy out in the bounce zone! Cameron just enjoyed watching all the kids running around. He is a people watcher for sure!! I know Grammy T was sad to leave & we were sad to see her go, but secretly she was happy she was leaving that day because it was snowing & she was missing the Florida sun! Good thing she didn't stick around another day because the big storm hit the next day and we got lots of snow!!
