Since the 24th of July fell on a Sunday, Jeremy got Monday off to celebrate. I planned a fun little family day. It started off with breakfast at IHOP (I crave pancakes when I am pregnant) and then we went to a place called Trafalga to let Cameron ride the rides. We went to buy tickets and we found out that 3 and under were FREE....so basically we only had to pay for the rides that Jeremy had to go on with him. We ended up spending $6 for several hours of fun.
The merry-go-round is always a favorite....
I am glad Jeremy took him on these splash bumper boats and not me (actually I might not have minded too bad since it was such a hot day)....but each tube is armed with water guns and you can squirt people. They shoot pretty far because Jeremy managed to hit me through the gate while I was watching. You see the water fountains in the back? Well they got bumped into them and were "soaking wet" when they got off the ride.
Next were the race cars and Cameron said "they go so fast, round and round in circles so fast!"
I lost count of how many times he rode the airplanes and the frog hopper, he just kept saying "again" and half the time he got to stay on the ride without getting off since it wasn't very busy!
I love that he puts his arms in the air, he put them up first and then the other kids followed him.
He was laughing and having a blast, it was hard to get him off this ride!
We got home, ate lunch and all took naps. When we woke up it was time to go to grammy and grampy's house for a BBQ and fireworks.
they had bags with prizes and fireworks to give all the grand-kids. Cameron's bag had a huge sheet of stickers. Of course he had to stick them all over his arm and Janessa's leg and the other cousin's faces.
He was excited to do sparklers again and watch the fireworks. He remained a little bit cautious, which is a good thing, he was so cute to go put the sparkler in the bucket of water when he was done.
The weather had us a little worried, but my parents had the back yard all set up and decorated to eat outside and let the kids play games. Luckily the rain waited until the last 5 minutes of us doing fireworks. It was a great day. Cameron was worn out and got to sleep past his bedtime but he sure slept good that night!
