We spent a fun afternoon/evening at Last Chance.  We had a going away party for Michele, Barry, and Spencer (Janessa already left us...on her mission in Korea).  So Michele and her family are moving to Arizona and we are so sad.  But we celebrated, ate, and laughed, and laughed some more because that is what we do when my family gets together!

Cameron getting ready to ski on the hot shots!  He was a hot shot too!  Uncle Rick helped him start in the water like a professional.  He got up and we all cheered.  He said he didn't like the hot shot skis as much as the skimmer skis because the hot shots spray his face with water too much.  LOL  I wish we could get out skiing more often, I think he would really catch on and have fun waterskiing!

After the fun, we ate a delicious dinner, had dessert and laughed some more.  It was a successful going away party...too bad it had to happen though :(

Christmas in June!

Mackenzie wanted to make sugar cookies....so after we made the dough, I got out the cookie cutters.  She picked all the Christmas ones!  I thought it was funny she wanted those ones.  So, we made Christmas cookies in June :)  Why not right?!

Kindergarten Program

Cameron's school had a Kindergarten program a few months before school was out.  Unfortunately I had to work the day it was scheduled for the parents. Luckily they did a rehearsal for the school the day before and so I was able to go to that with Mackenzie.  Jeremy, Mackenzie, and Grammy and Grampy went the next day to the "real" program.  I was so happy to be there.  The kids were so cute.  Cameron sang his little heart out.  I got some cute videos.  He had to hold up a prop during one of the songs.  Such a cute class of kids!

Cameron's Kindergarten talent show

So Cameron's teacher had a talent show for the class.  Cameron wanted to do magic for his talent.  He was super excited to use some of the magic tricks he learned from his magic kit he got the week before!  I was all ready to video him and take pictures, but on his first trick I could tell that he was going to forget to "flip" the coin around to make it disappear....so I ran up to wisper in his ear.  Then I decided to just kneel down by him in case he needed any other help.  He didn't end up needing my help, but I felt better about being right there in case.  However, I am sad I didn't get to video it because he was sooooo cute!  He did 3 tricks and wowed the audience.  The kids were amazed and kept asking him how he did that.

After everyone did their talents they performed a cute dance they had been practicing.  It was adorable.  He started out with his partner/friend/neighbor Reese, and then they switched several times.  It was adorable!

Star Wars suprise

We took the kids to Classic Skating one day for some fun.  As they were playing in the jungle area they came over the intercom saying the magician was over by the roller skating and would be starting his magic show in a few minutes.  Well, Cameron heard that and came out of the Jungle super fast!  He wanted to see the magic show....he loves magic.  So we went over and watched the show.  It was super entertaining.  After the show he was selling magic kits, so we bought one for Cameron.

Then as they riding their scooters on the skating rink...Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper came out  and danced to the music.  Total surprise of a day.  I had no idea all this was going to happen when I decided to go there.

FUN RUN

Cameron's school had a fundraiser and the kids had to raise money and then participate in a run.  Basically he had to get some donations and then run some laps.  They had it set up so if someone donated $1 or $5 per lap they would send the person a "bill" after they knew how many laps the kid ran.  They capped the amount of laps for donations at 36....so someone wouldn't end up paying hundreds of dollars I guess.  

Cameron was super excited for the big day.  He got some donations from family and was ready to go.  After every lap they marked the shirt off to keep track.  As you can see, they ran out of space on his shirt.  He ran 52 laps!!!!  Cameron is my little runner.  He is fast and has endurance!  Maybe he will run track one day??

The invitations

The kids made a minion from a toilet paper roll....I didn't get a picture of them, but they turned out super cute!  Then they enjoyed playing in the bounce house, but Cameron made up a rule that only one person could be in it at a time.  I talked him into letting two people in at a time, the line was so long :)  He is Mr. Safety!!  I am the opposite and would have just let them all in there.

There were so many kids that we had to limit the hits to five per kid...otherwise not everyone would get a turn.  And to make it fair Jeremy raised the pinata up and down...or it wouldn't have stood a chance with this wind up!

Present time.  Cameron was super excited for the gift card to Target.  Since he loves his wallet and loves to take it with him to pay for stuff he likes to have gift cards in there.  He thinks it's super cool that a gift card is like money.

I made these cupcakes, thanks to pinterest for the cute idea!  They were a hit with the kids.  who wouldn't want a cupcake and a Twinkie!!

 Another birthday party over!  Time to start planning for next year!

6 years old!!

Birthday Breakfast at Chick-Fil-A!  He told the girl it was his birthday and while we were eating she came out with a cute stuffed cow and a free kids meal coupon.  It was a pretty good start to his day!

He was excited to get to school so he could wear the birthday hat and have the kids sing to him.  Since it was a Wednesday, it was the day I volunteer, I got to watch the birthday celebration.  He couldn't wait to hand out the twinkie "minions" I made...mostly because they were chocolate filled and he thought that was cool.  

 

After school we went to get a birthday haircut.

We had Cameron's family birthday party on his actual birhtday!  Cameron was being a goof ball and singing, which made everyone laugh...aunt Michele especially!

He loved the minion cake I made....the cakes are always a labor of love.  Every year I tell myself it's the last!

We had a taco bar....I printed off some signs saying Salsa & Salsa restaurant.  Just like in Dispicable Me 2 movie.  

Mallory thought the minion lemonade was funny.

Cameron was excited to get legos, and walkie talkies, art stuff, an "ipad" to write on and draw on and lots of other things I can't remember!

I can't believe you are six years old Camster!  You bring so much joy to our family.  I love your creativity, energy, and kind, loving personality.  You are one of the most thoughtful people I know!  I am so proud of who you are and can't wait to see who you become!
