It could be worse....right?

Here is Cameron coloring on paper (he loves to color), I left him alone for about 5 minutes while I went in my room to get dressed....

Apparently he didn't have enough paper so he decided to use the whole table as his canvas!

I tried to scrub it off but it still looks like this. I think I will try to use those Magic Eraser pads, but I think they take the finish off of things??

The other day we came home from the grocery store, so I was carrying in the bags and putting stuff away. Cameron stayed in the garage to play with his car. I figured he couldn't get into much in the 10 minutes it took to put all the groceries away. I had the door open so I could listen to him. He was calling Tica's name and it sounded like they were playing. Later Tica came in the house and Cameron kept yelling "Tica, come here....Tica" and finally came in the house carrying a scoop we use to get the dog food out with. Right then I knew I was in for a treat in the garage :)

I went out to find this "creative art" in the garage. I loved how he put the dog food in little piles in some places. There was dog food EVERYWHERE you could imagine....under my car, behind everything, in his wagon, in his car, behind the matress/box springs (we are giving to a family in our ward who's house burned down a month ago and they lost everything. One reason why I titled thispost "it could be worse right?")

What a kid! He can have fun doing anything. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall and watched him, I guess he thought he was feeding Tica. I tried to clean up a little bit, but I had to get dinner started since Jeremy was coming home soon and it was going to take too much time/work to clean it all up. So daddy and Cameron swept it all up when he got home :)

I have to laugh because when I think of it now, Tica was probabaly running in the house to get away from Cameron throwing food at her and so she came to "tattle" on Cameron :)

Food, friends & projects

A bunch of my friends (mostly childhood friends) still keep in touch and we do a recipe party monthly. It's lots of fun to socialize and eat yummy food. Then we take home the recipes which is nice because I run out of ideas really fast when I cook dinner every night...and it gets old making the same things too often! Anyway, I hoste the recipe party in February and decided to add a little project to the evening. I have been looking all over for a big picture of the temple with a chunky frame and that didn't require to take out a second mortgage to purchase it. The ones I found and liked were all $300-$400. I found this girl that does classes at your house if you get a certain amount of people interested. She brings all the supplies and helps you put them together. It was a super fun night and to think I turned these supplies

into this picture for only $53 is the BEST part about it!! I love the picture, I love that I made it, and I love that it was an amazing deal.

Growing up soooo fast!

It amazes me how fast kids learn just by watching something done once! Cameron has seen us use the screwdriver to fix his toys or to open them up and put batteries in them. Things were a little too quiet in the other room, so I stuck my head around the corner to find "Mr. fix it" working away on his toys. I need to get him a little toy tool set!

I love that he knows where to put the screwdriver too, he doesn't just put it anywhere on the toy. It was also so cute to watch him turn his grocery cart over when he was done fixing the bottom...he then had to fix the top.

The vacuum has gone through several sets of battries, given that it is on most of the day every day, this was to be expected! He knows right where the batteries go :)

Cameron LOVES to color and draw. He gets soooo focused when he is working on a picture. I think it is cute that he knows how to hold the pen...

I can't believe my little Cameron is growing up. He seems so old to me, but he isn't eve two. He is talking like crazy and repeats everything we say! He says "dank doo" (thank you) and "peas" (please) and "love you". He gives the best hugs and kisses. I am soooo glad spring is almost here. Cameron would spend his entire day outside if he could. We have fun in playing in the sand and on the swings. One day I was tending 2 other kids and so I made sandwiches and we had a pic-nic lunch on the lawn. He thought that was so fun, so everyday he takes his plate and stands at the door saying "side, side". We ate outside yesterday, but unfortunately we had to wear out coats, the weather didn't deter him at all. Besides knowing all of his colors, Cameron learned his shapes. He recognizes and says circle, triangle, square, rect (rectangle), heart, and star. I hate to jinx this, but I have to shout horray, Cameron has taken a nap in his crib the last 12 days in a row!!! This is a total miracle, especially since he sleeps 1 hr. That means I have been able to take a nap too :) being pregnant is exhausting and I still have that "drugged" feeling in the afternoon. So I am grateful that Cameron has grown into naps!! Every day is an adventure with this little guy, he is such a crack up and loves to laugh.

Pickles & Ice Cream

The reality that I am pregnant again has finally sunk in...I think :) It didn't seem real until the ultrasound. Cameron is looking forward to being a big brother the beginning of September. He gets so excited when we see babies and loves to just look at them. I am almost done with my 1st trimester so hopefully that means bye bye to morning sickness!!
