I miss my kiddos...

Jeremy and I are in San Francisco and I am enjoying myself, but I sure miss my kids and am glad I have pictures on my camera like these....

I took these pictures of Cameron a few hours before before we left. Jeremy was taking him to Margo's to stay and go to church. I gave him this ginormous coloring book with stickers and activities to take with him and keep him busy :)

Cameron is so funny, Grammy & Grampy gave him these shirt and sweater and I went to put it on him and he says "Grammy and Grampy made this for me"....I tried to tell him they bought it for him they didn't make it....and he insisted "yes, Grammy & Grampy made it, they did".

Ohhhh, how I love this little girl. She has only been around for 3 months, but I don't know how I survived without her in my life before now. I miss her smile and her cute personality!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My morning started off with the annual 5k turkey trot with my friend Amanda. It was nice weather, not too cold. It was my first time running since having Mackenzie and I enjoyed every minute of it!!

I really have no pictures of Thanksgiving this year....it was a very different Thanksgiving for all of us! The smallest one we have ever had (well except when it was just Jeremy and I living in Charlotte). This year Michele's family went to San Diego and it was Margo's turn to be with her in-laws. So that left me, Jeremy, Cameron, Kenzie, Herb, Genive, and Grammy & Grampy at their house. I like Thanksgiving because it gives us time to reflect on all we are thankful for. I am extremely grateful for my family, for my children, for the gospel, friends, health and plenty more that I won't list, but do appreciate!

Cameron kept wanting me to take pictures of him...every time he goes by Mackenzie he says take a picture mommy.

I wanted to get a family picture, I even coordinated our clothes :) However, I never got one of all of us together!

Mackenzie eating her first Thanksgiving dinner. I am sure she thought it tasted like all of her other meals though.

Cameron and Grammy
Cameron is at such a fun age. He really gets excited about holidays and is so cute. He would go around and point out all the turkeys and pumpkin decorations at our house and Grammy's house. The funniest thing is he kept saying "after Thanksgiving it's Christmas time and Santa bring me a camera". After dinner and naps Jeremy helped bring in my parents' ginormous Christmas Tree and other boxes. Cameron was so interested in what was in all the boxes and helped Grammy set up the nativity set. He pointed to every piece and asked "who's that guy?" or "that's a sheep, it says baaahhh". After we left their house we headed down to have another round of dessert with Jeremy's dad and his wife....Paw Paw Garry and Maw Maw Robin. They were in town for Thanksgiving, but ate dinner at her sister's house. I love Thanksgiving feast, I am already sad it's over, but look forward to the yummy food and spending time with family next year!!

Baby talk...

I know I am totally biased but Mackenzie is stinkin' cute! She is just so happy and smiley all the time. She loves to coo and babble with mommy and daddy as you can see in the video. She smiles at anybody though....people will stop us places we go and look at her and she just starts interacting with them and smiling. I can't get enough of her!! I love the stage she is in and hate for her to grow up.

non-stop comedy

Cameron is seriously the funniest kid! I am always laughing at him and with him. The things he thinks to do and say are hilarious. The other day we were singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and I sang "how I wonder what you are. " Before I could sing the next part of the song Cameron says "pirates say R" It took me a second to make the connection to the song we were singing and how his brain started thinking of pirates?? I brushed off the comment by saying "yes, you are right they do say arrrr" and sang the song again, then I started laughing....of course when I said "are" that made him think of pirates saying "arrrr"

It's a good thing I have my camera with me at all times! Here we are in Gap Kids, while I am shopping for Mackenzie and focused on all the ridiculously cute clothes trying to control myself in that store (it's impossible) I look over at Cameron and he had taken the headbands out of the jar they were in and arranged them on his head.

He had managed to put 5 headbands on....

The pictures are a little blury only because I couldn't stop laughing long enough to hold still and take a picture! I was in the kitchen when Cameron came walking in from the garage with this sombrero on. He was singing some song and saying something about Halloween.

I'm not sure how he fit though the door to get back inside

and this is Cameron leaving Mackenzie's 2 month Dr. appointment. He was sitting in his seat saying "I'm funny" I turned around and saw that he put the sticker he got on his head. He said "let's go to grammy's house and show her I'm funny" I said "let's just take a picture and show her how funny you are"
The other day Cameron came in my room as I was getting ready and said "mommy you pretty" and then he said "I like your shoes", he said "and I cute" as he ran out of the room. A few days later Jeremy was holding him and he says "mommy you pretty" with a huge smile and then pointed to Jeremy and said "and daddy you handsome, and I cute" It melts my heart when he tells me that I am pretty or that he thinks what I am wearing is pretty or cute. He is such a sweet boy, so innocent and genuine.

2 months young

Mackenzie had her 2 month check up and everything looks great! However, the Dr. said she should be eating 4 oz every 2-3 hours....but Mackenzie just isn't that into eating yet. She eats about 2 oz maybe 3 but that's pushing it! She is growing despite her lack of motivation to eat. She is 23.0 inches long (72%) weighing in at 8 lbs 15 oz (8%) and is 34% for her head circumference.

Poor little girl had 3 shots and had to drink the other vaccine. She cried and cried and cried! So sad :( Some things Kenzie does at this age is smile, smile, and smile some more! She interacts with me and will coo and talk. The Dr. said this was pretty early for her to be so attentive, alert and responsive to people....she started this at about 7 weeks! Another thing she likes to do is stand. She has some strong leg muscles because she can stand a long time. She pretty much is just a strong girl, she holds her head up and also grabs anything in her sight....usually my hair, pulling it out in clumps. Mackenzie is a lot like Cameron, she HAS to be held, especially to sleep. The good thing is she will sleep in her crib at night for about 3-4 hours at a time. Napping during the day however requires that you hold her and if you even think about setting her down she wakes right up! Although I don't get much done during the day, I can't complain too much she is lots of fun to hold and look at!

Celebrate

We blessed Mackenzie on Sunday. It was such a special day....we had a lot of family there and Jeremy gave such a sweet blessing.

I took a lot of pictures of her in her cute dress that Grammy made

Raise the roof :) I like her little mischievous look here

a little grin...

Cameron is so sweet with his little sis

I LOVE this picture....one of my favorite of the day. I love the natural lighting. I also like how she is laying on the blanket my grandma Wilson made before she died.

Cameron gives such good hugs. He loves Grampy.

Grammy & Grampy came early before church to help out, the morning was pretty hectic.

Paw Paw Herb and Maw Maw Genive

Sadly in all the confusing and rushing we didn't get any pictures of the family. This is the closest one we got...but we are missing daddy. And I thought I was so prepared with everything ready to go, but after taking 4 pictures my camera card was full. So....I was out of a camera good thing my mom got some good pictures to give me. Another mishap for the day was when my parents came over early before church to help....my dad locked the keys in his car. So during church he had to call AAA and then rush back to our house when they came. A few people got back to our house before Jeremy and I did and they opened the door not knowing our alarm was on....so when we pulled up the alarm was blaring. It was a memorable day for many reasons :)

We enjoyed ourselves and hope everyone else did. It was fun to be with family and enjoy each others company and yummy food! We are so blessed to have Mackenzie in our family and we love her!

Fun weekend

Paw Paw Garry and Maw Maw Robin came to town for Mackenzie's baby blessing. They stayed with us for 4 nights. The first night they got there we were going to go to dinner with them, but Cameron had thrown up a few times that morning/afternoon, so we decided to stay home. They got to our house right before he was going to go to bed. He was in his pajamas, but we let him stay up a little longer to visit with them :)

Of course Mackenzie smiled for her Paw Paw, she is such a happy little girl.

I thought these were cute pictures of them ...

The big event was going to Chucky Cheese! This was the first time Cameron had been there and he had a blast. Molly and Cameron rode the car together.

and the little merry-go-round

They had their picture taken in this booth and then it drew the picture for you to take home. Cameron has it in his room now.
Daddy and Kenzie

Cameron loved playing skeeball....I think he managed to chuck a few balls into the glass as well as into the other lane. But nothing was broken and nobody was hurt.

Cousin Emma was showing him how to play.

Right before we left Chucky showed up (I think that's his name?) Cameron thought he was pretty cool and kept touching him,

and tried to give him knuckles (in this picture) and high five and hugs and wouldn't leave him alone so other kids could take their pictures with him. It was pretty funny. I had to pick him up and carry him away. It was a fun day, I am sure we will take Cam back there one of these days. He had a lot of fun with Paw Paw Garry and kept asking where he was after they went home.
