The Kindergarteners had a Teddy Bear picnic at school today.  They got to bring a stuffed animal with them to school.  Before school got out the parents got to come and have a picnic.  I packed lunch for us and we hung out with Amanda and Dallin.

Leader in me breakfast - 09/20/2017

Cameron and Mackenzie got chosen for the Leader in Me breakfast at school.  They both got chosen for the same one.  There are 7 habits the school goes through each year.  The teachers chose one student for each habit, that they think is an example of this habit, to go to the breakfast.  So they only have 7 breakfasts a year.  The amazing thing is Cameron has been chosen every year so far...so all 3 years he has been going to school there.  Some kids never get picked!  This was Mackenzie's first time because she just started Kindergarten!

I am so proud of my two smart kids who like to be leaders and follow rules.  They are such good examples to their peers.
The habit this month was "be proactive".  Both of their teachers said they are proactive with starting their work and getting things finished.  They do a good job of being in charge of themselves!

Mackenzie's friend birthday party - 09/09/2017

Come one, Come all, Come 25 kids!!!  Mackenzie's party truly was a circus!

We had a fun photo booth.  I took pictures of all the kids with their signs and sent them to their moms.

I had the most amazing face painter come!  She was awesome!!

My favorite memory of the day...it STILL makes me laugh.  So Halle's mom texted and said she would be a little late picking up Halle (the tiger).  That was fine with me, they were having fun and it was no big deal.  When she texted again she said something about just bringing her clothes with her and could she change into them at the house.  I asked what they were doing and she said they were going to go right to have family pictures taken.  OH MY GOSH!  I was dying!  I had to tell her that Halle had her face painted...and not just a little butterfly on her cheek, but her FACE painted.  So she had to pick her up and go home to shower.  I thought she was going to kill me, but we are still friends.

Waiting for turns in the bounce house

Bean bag toss.  I should have pulled the weeds in the sandpile, but I just couldn't find the extra time anywhere!!  There are always so many details to plan and prepare a party.  Whats a few weeds right?!

Step right up and pick a duck.  Are you feeling lucky?  Find the matching ducks and win a prize.

Animal cookie cupcakes for dessert.  Their bags had the tickets in them for the games.  They kept their bags with them to put the prizes in them so they could take them home.

Cotton candy is a must at a circus.  They had fun making their own!

I made Cameron go last to get his face painted.  It paid off...last is best of all the game!  He looked so creepy and cool at the same time.  I told you she was amazing!  The party was a hit.  The clean up was a mess.  The kids had fun and that's all that matters!

Another race :) - 09/09/2017

I ran Big Cottonwood marathon last year and didn't love the marathon.  I knew the course was great for the half marathon....it didn't have the horrible out and back uphill...so I decided to run the half marathon this year!  It was a fun, fast race.  The best part was Sodalicious was there at the end making drinks for everyone...dirty diet coke for the win!

Birthday girl turns 6 - 09/04/2017

The birthday girl wanted to go to the zoo today.  We went as a family and had fun seeing the animals and riding the carousel.

 Cade wanted to keep riding

We celebrated this big 6 year old with the family party that night.

I had fun making this circus themed cake.  I decided I should have made the cake bigger because I had so many cute fondant animals to make!

We drank clown juice and strong man punch and other funny drinks.  I kept the dinner simple with Pizza and salad.  Her favorites!  It was fun celebrating this cute, smart, funny, kind, thoughtful, sweet girl.  She loves to give hugs.  She loves to play with her dolls.  Mackenzie is strong and strong willed.  She knows what she wants.  She also is very independent and does things on her own.  She is always wanting to give people things and make things for others.  I love her and am so excited to see what the next 6 years brings!!
