15 month well check

Where has the time gone?? Everyone said it would go by fast....it really has! My little BABY is turning into a little BOY! Cameron turned 15 months on August 27th and had his Dr. appointment today. He got 3 shots in his leg (two in his left and one in his right) and he DIDN'T even cry.....not one tiny tear! He was in shock and couldn't figure out what she was doing to him, but didn't put up a fight at all. Cameron jumped from the 5th% to the 8th% in weight, weighing in at 20 lbs 10 oz. (that 10 oz is what moved him up the rank I guess). He is 31 1/2" putting him in the 60th% for height. She said basically he is tall and skiny. I don't think he is either of those....to me he just looks like a normal and average kid. And his head shape is great and it is growing normally! So all is well with the little man, other than him having a cold :(

Cameron used to be content to sit on his zebra toy.....

but now he has discovered it is much more fun to climb onto it....

then stand on it.....

and finally jump from it. I don't have the action jumping picture, but he does this about a million times a day. He loves it and laughs. Basically he is in the climb on anything he can stage. I am just glad he hasn't figured out how to climb up his crib and jump from it...I am sure that is right around the corner though. I LOVE all of these stages he is gowing through. It seriously amazes me every day the things he does, how smart he is, and how he can make me laugh and smile like nobody else! He hides his hand inside of his shirt or something and then puts his other hand in the air and says "where is" and then pulls out his hand and says "theresss" in a really cute tone.

One man band

About 4 months ago Jeremy got out his "ref whistle" so he could ref a few basketball games. Cameron liked to play with it and would laugh when he heard us blow it. He would bring it to one of us and put it in our mouths so we would blow it and then he would laugh. One day he decided to try it himself and I couldn't believe he could make it whistle so loud, especially since he was only one at the time. So tonight I took a little video of him. Some of you might feel sorry for me knowing that this is the shrill noise I get to hear most of the day (in between all of his other noise making toys), and really I appreciate the sympathy however I usually join in his band and play some other musical instrument or I just make a fool out of myself dancing :)

Mr. Independent

I can't believe how FAST Cameron is growing up! It's so fun to watch him learn, remember, try new things, and just have fun! I am amazed every day at how smart he is and just how dang cute he is. He also has a great personality, he is always making me laugh with the things he does. And it's weird too because even at 14 months he KNOWS he is funny and he KNOWS what makes me laugh and then he REMEMBERS what he did hours or days later and does it again to make me laugh. I LOVE this little man...and yes it is sad that he is growing up so fast and really acts like a little man. Every day is another day that he grows up. But I sure am lucky to be his mom and be able to watch him grow up and have fun with him while he does!!

Yeah for family pictures....being over :)

I am finally getting these pictures on the blog. We had family pictures taken in June after Cameron turned one....

I really like black and white pictures...always, but then I look at the colored ones and like those too. Such a hard decision! I printed them all out in color for our frames though.

I love all the ones of Cameron by himself. He had no problem taking pictures if he could run around, do what he wanted, and climb anywhere....it was just when he had to sit by his parents and be still for a few seconds that he didn't like and got all serious.

I am so glad the photographer captured this picture! Now that is a good photographer. I can actually hear Cameron laughing from looking at this. He was having so much fun running around.

I love my cute little family and am thankful for Cameron and all the happiness he give me daily!

Family get together

We had a family get together with my mom's side of the family. We ate yummy desserts and listened to our cousin's son play the bagpipes. They just got back from Scotland where he went to a bagpipe festival and took lessons. We have Scotish heritage so that makes it all the more interesting, plus my moms dad (my grandpa) served his mission in Scotland and his son (my cousin and the father of the boy playing the bagpipes) also served his mission in Scotland. We have some pictures of my grandpa wearing his kilt.
We were all sitting on the lawn and in chairs watching him play. But not Cameron, he had to get up close and check it all out. It was so funny because he just kept walking around him and then would stand there and stare at him. Cameron really likes music he is always so interested in it.

We got Cameron to sit with Grammy for a few minutes and let Spencer play the bagpipes without stressing if he was going to yank on the instrument or look up his kilt :)

Me with my 2 handsome boys

This is a picture of most of the 2nd cousins....so my cousins kids. There were about 7 missing.

Then we got a picture of all the cousins, except one cousin is missing... It was a fun evening getting to visit with everyone and see all their kids grown up. The 2nd cousins had fun playing with each other and getting to know each other. Even though we all live in Utah now we rarely see each other. I think the last time I saw some of my cousins was at our grandmas funeral!

Beautiful views....

I think I would have liked to be a scenic photographer. I love nature and amazed at all the different scenery and views we get to see! It seems like the last few nights I have taken some spectacular pictures and wanted to share them. God sure created a beautiful place for us to live in and I try to recognize it and appreciate it daily!
I took this picture of the full moon from our back yard.

Some beautiful sunset pictures I took tonight....by the time I got back inside and looked out the window it was gone. Had I not looked out when I did I would have missed it. It makes me think, how many times I have missed a sunset or something because I wasn't looking??

We were driving home from dinner last night and thought this was a pretty cool view. The sun's rays were breaking through the clouds. It was even cooler in person.

this rainbow picture was taken awhile ago, and I have actually posted it before but figured since I was posting beautiful pictures I would add this one again. I just think nature is amazing. I would love to catch a picture of a lightning storm...one of my favorite things!!

The Cunningham Reunion

Jeremy's whole family came to town for 2 weeks (some of them weren't here the whole time). This is going to be a lengthy post with lots of pictures. I actually didn't even take that many pictures either! I will try to make the naration brief :) The first day they were here we did a picnic up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Some of my family came too...

Jeremy, Aunt Alicia (Jeremy's brother's wife), my mom (Grammy J), my sister (Aunt Michele), and Jeremy's grandparents Herb and Genive (paw paw and maw maw).

Cameron giving Aunt Michele a big 'ol hug. He loves to give hugs now and is so cute and calm when he does it.

Grammy J making Cameron laugh

Grampy taking Cam for a wagon ride...

We took family pictures since everyone was all together in the same State, a rare occasion for the Cunninghams. The photographer wouldn't let us take pictures with our own cameras so these are the only ones I got before she began!

Cameron hitching a ride on daddy's shoulders....

.... then hitching a ride on Great Paw Paw's walker

Crazy Uncle Garry and daddy tossing Cameron around like a sack of potatoes

if he wasn't laughing his head off and loving every second of it, I might have put a stop to it. Instead I just took pictures :)

We had a great day at the Hogal Zoo. I hadn't been there for a long time and they have really changed it and made it a lot nicer. Cameron actually sat still for a few minutes to watch a bird show. It was pretty cool to see how they train the birds, hawks, and other animals to do tricks....very entertaining.

Cameron, cousin Trey, cousin Emma, and cousin Molly posing by some vicious tigers.

Cameron's first merry-go-round ride. I rode with him and even though it goes slow, I got a little motion sickness with the twirling of the whole thing and then the elephant going up and down while trying to watch Cameron and look at the other cousins.

Paw Paw (Jeremy's dad Garry) and Cameron looking at the elephants.

There was a cute baby elephant Zuri...I think she is almost 1 years old now.

this is what a day in the hot sun at the zoo without a nap will do. Don't you just want to pinch those cute cheeks??

Cameron LOVES his new car. And I LOVE that he doesn't have to run to the neighbor's garage everytime we are outside to go play with their car!! Thanks paw paw for taking Cameron to get his birthday present while you were here.

This can keep him entertained for hours. He gets in and out, in and out, honks the horn, opens the gas cap, closes the gas cap, walks around it, pushes it and does the process all over!

Of course we spent one day up in Park City, shopping at the outlets, lunch, and riding the Alpine Slide. I love the Alpine Slide, but can't believe how the prices have gone up! I remember riding it all the time when I was a teenager and it was $4.50, then it went up to like $7.50 or something in high school and now it is $11.00!! Same Alpine Slide as 20 years ago, nothing new, nothing better, just more money. Isn't inflation great?!

Cameron can pass for a 2 year old right?? Apparently so because we got him on the lift and down the slide :) And technically I didn't even lie because when I was buying the tickets and I said "two adults and one passenger", all she asked me was "is the passanger under 48 inches?"and I said yes!

Cameron was too eager to get down and play with the cart, no time for pictures!

He was such a great helper pushing the cart....

Cameron got to ride with daddy because mommy goes too fast and honestly wasn't willing to give up the speed! I LOVE to catch air off of the jumps and see how far I can go before landing. I have a few battle wounds to show for it too, but that was back when it was a $4.50 ride :)

Aunt Alea (Jeremy's sister) and paw paw watching Cameron ride around.

It was so funny because we were at Uncle Garry's house and the kids were riding scooters and bikes. So Cameron goes in the garage and comes out with the helmet trying to put it on himself. After we got it on him, he hopped on Molly's bike and rode around like one of the big kids.

daddy wasn't too happy about the pink bike and purple helmet, but that's what happens when you have girl cousins!

After lunch at Pei Wei paw paw took all the gradkids to the petting zoo in Gardner Village. They all had fun on the pony ride and playing with the animals.

Cameron had fun getting to know his cousins and other set of grandparents. It's too bad they have to live so far away!! It was great to see all the kids having so much fun and getting along so well. Can't wait for next years reunion....where's it going to be?
