Pumpkin time

We love to go to this cute pumpkin patch a few blocks from our house every year!  The kids love picking out their own pumpkins.....

Kenzie enjoying a free ride....

Cameron testing out the big tractors.  They had about 10 tractors there to sit on.  It is such a cute place!

The kids love the tiny wheelbarrows to push around

We told Kenzie to "show your teeth" and this is what she did.  I guess we will stick with "smile".

Then for FHE a few nights later we carved scary faces in the pumpkins.  Mackenzie just like to draw on them.  She hugged her pumpkin after she drew a face on it and got the permanent marker on her cheek.  She has to hug everything....it's pretty cute!

Cameron is crazy pumpkin head, give him some candy :)

They had such a fun time carving pumpkins and they were laughing most of the time!

notice the tiny little pumpkin in front of the pumpkin by Mackenzie.  She picked that one out and wanted to carry it around the pumpkin patch.  We took all the pumpkins to the car before we went on the hay ride, but she had to bring the "tinsy baby pumpkin" on the hay ride with us.

good times as usual with these two!

Arrrgh Mateys

All dressed up for the first Halloween party of the year!  And of course every pirate needs a pair of sunglasses right?!

Cameron and Grammy

The party was AMAZING!  My parents friends go ALL  OUT every year and the kids had a BLAST!  The decorations were awesome. There were at least 100 kids all in costumes and Mackenzie was running around playing with all of them like she had known them forever.  She wasn't scared of anything and she was cracking us up.  After we filled up on food and decorated cookies they had a haunted, trick or treating path you walked around and got candy at each station.  There were lights all in the trees to light the way and they had people dressed up to guide us to each station.  I took some pictures of the stations before because I knew it would be too dark when we walked around.

Cameron next to Uncle Fester....

Mackenzie wanted to pet the scary witches cat.  At night it was dark and the eyes lit up red...she just went over and pet it saying, "hi kitty".

Mackenzie decided to trade her sunglasses in for an eye patch...I guess she realized she wasn't as scary with sunglasses :)

Cameron kept telling Mackenzie and us that "it's ok that witch (or monster, or ghost, etc)  isn't real, it's just a costume" and "don't be scared they are just pretending and dressed up."  And these weren't just everyday costumes....they were full on dressed up to the full extent creepy ones! He is so mature and has such a calm, collected demeanor about him.

It was a spooky, fun night and it was just what we needed to get in the Halloween spirit!

Digging up the yard...

Ever since we got the trampoline I wanted to put it in the ground.  That day finally came!! We rented a mini excavator and Jeremy spent Saturday digging the hole for it.  Luckily we had a nice neighbor help...he had done his trampoline hole she he had some experience.  He also had the big flat bed trailer for the dirt to haul off.  We loaded it up too!!

Cameron was in heaven playing in all the dirt.  He was so excited to get his shovel and help.  His friend wanted him to come over and play.  So I told him that he could go play with a friend and he said "no I just want to stay here and help daddy."  The friend came over to our house instead and they played in the dirt :)

Now the next step is to get the hole lined with something so we can put the trampoline in it.  Hopefully that wont take another 8 months!

2 year well check

a

Mackenzie had her two year Dr. visit today and she hated every minute of it!  She is just the opposite of Cameron and refuses to sit still or let the doctor look in her ears, mouth, listen to her heart etc.  She was crying and clinging onto my neck and made it difficult to check her.  Cameron kept telling her that she needed to stop crying or she wouldn't get her prize at the end.  When the doctor was done Mackenzie said "clothes back on" and then said, "no more tears, I pick a prize."  She tried to tell me on the ride home that she was a "big girl" at the doctor.  Despite her antics to avoid getting checked, we got some information and she is growing...Yay!!  She weighs 22 lbs 10 oz and is 5th%  (not in the negative % this time!!).  She is 34 in tall which puts her 47th% and her head circumference is 48 cm 61st%.

Oh how I love this little face!!
