We had a family get together with my mom's side of the family. We ate yummy desserts and listened to our cousin's son play the bagpipes. They just got back from Scotland where he went to a bagpipe festival and took lessons. We have Scotish heritage so that makes it all the more interesting, plus my moms dad (my grandpa) served his mission in Scotland and his son (my cousin and the father of the boy playing the bagpipes) also served his mission in Scotland. We have some pictures of my grandpa wearing his kilt.

Beautiful views....
I think I would have liked to be a scenic photographer. I love nature and amazed at all the different scenery and views we get to see! It seems like the last few nights I have taken some spectacular pictures and wanted to share them. God sure created a beautiful place for us to live in and I try to recognize it and appreciate it daily!
this rainbow picture was taken awhile ago, and I have actually posted it before but figured since I was posting beautiful pictures I would add this one again. I just think nature is amazing. I would love to catch a picture of a lightning storm...one of my favorite things!!
The Cunningham Reunion
Jeremy's whole family came to town for 2 weeks (some of them weren't here the whole time). This is going to be a lengthy post with lots of pictures. I actually didn't even take that many pictures either! I will try to make the naration brief :) The first day they were here we did a picnic up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Some of my family came too...

24th of July
our morning started out with a drive up Emigration Canyon (a very slow drive...there was a marathon that day and lots of lanes were blocked and roads closed) to Ruth's Diner. It is a great place to eat, especially for breakfast! Jeremy's brother and his family hadn't been there before so we thought we would start off our morning with some delicious food. We had a big day ahead of us....
We had lots of fun exploring other parts of the park and getting a tour of the place on a big train. All the workers there dress in time period clothing, which is interesting to see, but I'm not sure I would want to work there in the summer heat!! We were hot and sweaty.
