Mackenzie's first soccer experience!

 Kenzie was excited to start soccer....at first.  Then, she got a little disinterested and didn't love the idea.  She did pretty good for her first time.  And she scored a few goals each game.

Splash park

 We had a fun day at grammy and grampys having lunch and playing with them.  When we left we drove passed a splash pad/park by their house.  The kids wanted to stop and play.  We weren't prepared with swim suits, but I figured it was a hot enough day the clothes would dry fast!

 They had a blast!  It was so fun watching them run around.  We decided to plan a day the next week to go with grammy and grampy.  We ate lunch at the park and the kids wore their swim suits this time!  Grampy introduced them to the ice cream truck.  They never paid attention to what it was...I was hoping to leave it like that.  But that's what grandpas are for right?!  They thought it was fun to pick out their ice cream and eat it at the park!  

4th of July parade

 I really don't like parades.  I hate the crowds and I don't like waiting around.  The floats can be cool, but its soooo slow and boring! However, I decided since this one was close, it was the Riverton parade, we would go check it out.  We could always leave it if was too hot or crowded.  I figured the kids should experience one parade in their life :)

They had fun watching all the different floats.  They enjoyed the candy that some of the floats tossed out.  Apparently since it was our first parade, we weren't not as prepared as the other parade goers with their grocery bags to collect the candy.  Cameron and Mackenzie were a little frustrated when they only ended up with one or no pieces of candy from each float.  It's amazing the types of people (parents especially) at these functions who have no tact, respect, or social awareness.   Seriously, most of them were fighting for the candy or yelling at their kids to grab more.

I just loved watching them.  The pictures from behind were so cute :)  Cameron was having fun, but he was a little preoccupied with his loose tooth.  He was playing with it most of the time, wiggling it back and forth.  We told him it would be days before it came out since it just started getting loose this morning.

 ....and seriously, Kenzie waving at the clown!  Priceless.

 Good things we brought the wagon to hold the chairs and the kiddos.  It was a little walk to the car.  

We went to dinner after the parade and Cameron kept working on his tooth.  He said it hurt and he couldn't eat his pizza.  Then he said, "pieces of it are chipping off" and I said, "it doesn't chip off, the whole tooth will come out."  Then he grabbed a piece and said, "here is proof it's chipping off...what is this!?"  And he handed me his tooth!  I said, "Cameron you just pulled your whole tooth out!"  We all got a good laugh.  He was sooooo excited he couldn't wait to get home and put it under his pillow.

The tooth fairy wasn't too prepared because she wasn't expecting his tooth to fall out so soon.  So when he woke up Cameron came into our room shouting, "she left me $5 and some gum that looks like gold."  I said, "wow $5, the tooth fairy must leave $5 for your first lost tooth and then like $1 for each tooth after"  :)  Mackenzie was pretty happy the tooth fairy left her some gum too!

Benihana birthday dinner!

I think I forgot to post this from May.  Cameron chose Benihana for his birthday dinner.  Grammy and Grampy came with us for a fun evening!

 It's always fun watching them cook and make fire right in front of you.  Not so much fun going home smelling like the food though!

Mackenzie was getting good at using the chopsticks.  And she really  liked the shrimp.  So daddy gave her his shrimp since he is allergic to it.

A hiking we will go

 My friend Danielle and I took our kids on a hike this summer to stair case falls (I think that was the name?) It was so beautiful and we all had fun.  I love living so close to the mountains and beautiful hikes.  I need to take advantage of it more often!

 We didn't have water shoes, but that didn't stop us from getting in the water.  The kids' shoes and socks were soaked!

 The hike was so pretty.  All the kids did awesome.  We had a good time and worked up an appetite.  On the way home we stopped at Cafe Rio for lunch.

 Cameron said he saw a bee on the hike...he never cried or acted hurt, but by bedtime his hand was swollen and hot!  Poor guy couldn't even bend  his fingers.  I called the pediatrician and she recommended benadryl and cream for the itch.  It took about 3 days to go away.  We never knew what it was exactly that he was allergic to or bitten by??

24th of July

The kids had fun at the neighborhood bike parade and breakfast again this year!   As always, the food was delish, and there was lot and lots of stuff for the kids to do!

Crafty

Mackenzie wanted to do a puppet show and asked if she could have something to make a stage with.  So I found a big box and gave her some paints, crayons and markers.  She had fun decorating the outside and the inside :)

Cameron also wanted to make something out of a box.  I gave him one too and he made a robot outfit out of it.  He wore it around all day, but wasn't very comfortable. LOL
