Father's Day

I took Jeremy out for father's day and we had a blast, pun intended :)
first I thought it would b fun to go shooting and practice our shot.

Then we went to dinner at Carvers.  Jeremy had his favorite meal....steak!  We had planned on going to a movie after dinner, but since Mackenzie was crying when I left her with the babysitter I was worried she would have a hard time going to bed and staying asleep.  So we headed home to check on her and she was fine...asleep in bed....but by the time we figured out we could go to the movie, we would have been late.  So we called it a night.

Cameron helped mommy make this tie for daddy to wear to church.  I didn't have a pattern (obviously) and made it a little short, but he was a good sport and wore it anyway.  Cameron had fun decorating it. We love daddy and are thankful for all he does for our family.

A day at the firestation

Cameron was invited to a birthday party at the Herriman Fire station.  It is a brand new fire station, it's big and super nice.  The kids all had fun getting a tour of the truck and the house where they live.

I can't believe how strong Cameron is.  The fireman put this oxygen tank on some of the kids that wanted to try it on and it pretty much knocked the kids over without him even letting go of the pack all the way.  He put it on Cameron and he turned so the fireman let go of it....there he is just standing there.  I wish I had asked how much it weighed.

Cameron giving a high five to the "fire hydrant"   Ha Ha....he kept calling them that.  Even the next day he was saying something about going to the fire hydrant.

The fireman gave all the kids fireman hats after they were done with the tour.
It was so funny because Mackenzie didn't line up with the kids by the truck when they all got their hats....it's like she knew you couldn't go over there unless you had a hat.  So we took pictures and then one of the fireman saw Kenzie and asked her if she wanted one.  He put it on her and she immediately ran and stood by the truck and said "cheese"

She was so happy for her cute pink fire hydrant hat :)

The BIG 4

Cameron you are one of a kind.  I can't believe you are already 4, but you also seem to me like you should be 6 or 7 with the things you say and how smart/funny you are.  I love how you notice things in life especially nature.  You usually tell me how pretty the flowers are or how "beautiful the sunset is" or how "amazing the mountains look".  You are so kind and loving and you are an awesome big brother who knows how to make your sister laugh....she loves you.  You are the best helper.  You love to help me cook breakfast every morning and help me make cookies or anything I am making.  I think it is so cute that you love to clean and ask to clean.  You like to mop and wipe down the tables and clean the windows because you love to spray the Windex.  Vacuuming is something you like to do also.  You are so good about organizing your room/toys when you want to.  Your favorite toy is Mojo your Build a Bear monkey.  He sleeps with you every night and you take him with us everywhere we go....we have to buckle him in the car in his own seat too.  You always talk about being a giant and can't wait until we have to cut the roof off so you can fit in the car and the house.  When you grow up you said you want to "build houses" and be "an astronaut so I can go to Mars" and you have also said you wanted to be a chef.  I know you will be something great.  Because greatness is in you.  You have a creative side and your brain doesn't stop working.  Your art work and pictures you draw amaze me.  You have focus and determinate yet at the same time things come easy to you and naturally.  You have a special gift that attracts people to you. I love that we are the neighborhood hang out house and you always have friends over here.  You are usually offering everyone snacks, drinks, and otter pops so I am sure as long as you are that kind of hostess then we will always be the hang out house :)   You brighten my days, put a smile on my face, make me laugh.  I am proud and lucky to be your mom.  Thanks for telling me "I chose you to be my mom when I was up in heaven, I wouldn't want to choose anyone else because you are the best.  I especially am glad I didn't chose (insert friends name)mom to be my mom".

Happy 4th Birthday to my handsome Cameron!  He requested waffles for his birthday breakfast.  So I made some extra special cinnamon roll waffles.  They were delish!

Then we went to Jungle Jim's to play games and ride the rides.  Cameron was so excited to go there because he had never been.

This was a FAST roller coaster ride that went backwards too.  Mackenzie was a trooper.  She held on tight and was brave, but after the first ride Cameron wanted to go again and Kenzie said "off!"

He is a natural little athlete.  He has such good form and a great shot I was cracking up watching him play this game!

When we got home we only had a few hours before my family came to celebrate at his party!!

We decided to give him his BIG present while we were waiting for Margo's family to arrive (so he would have time to ride it around).  I love the look on his face when he is seeing it for the first time.  The best part is Mackenzie was in it!  So funny!  It's a Ford F150 and has a working radio.

This picture caused me to have a flash forward (instead of flash back) to him being a teenager in his truck pulling in the driveway.

He is so good at driving it too....he is backing up :)

Cameron was giving rides.  Troy squished in, but didn't look too comfortable.

This is my favorite picture of all time.  Cameron was driving on the sidewalk and I guess he got bored so he drove up our lawn and was going fast.  Check out Mackenzie's face, she was laughing so hard and so was Cameron.  She was super excited about this truck and wants him to take her for a "ride, ride" every day.

A party wouldn't be a party without the bounce house :)

I love these pictures of Cameroncito and Grampy

Grammy, Cameron, Grampy, Tica, and Janessa

Getting ready to eat....BBQ pork sandwiches, BBQ beans, fruit & dip, chips....and of course
\
CAKE!!
After changing his mind 3 times, he decided he wanted me to make him a Buzz cake.  Speaking of "changing" he had a wardrobe change during dinner....he spilled his orange drink all over himself :(

Such a cute picture of him (you hardly notice Mackenzie's sneaky finger swiping some cake)

She couldn't help herself.....I don't blame her, it was a delicious cake :)

Present time!  One of my most favorite things about Cameron is his excitement and enthusiasm.  It totally reminds me of my Grandma Wilson.  He is so genuine and gets so excited!  He literally screamed with excitement at everything he opened.  He would say "oh it's Wreck it Ralph movie, just what I always wanted!"  Or "Wow it's the coolest scooter ever" while he jumps up and down!

Jeremy just introduced Cameron to the Wii and he has been playing Mario Kart a lot lately.  We should have just given that to him for his birthday...ha ha!  Cameron and troy had lots of fun playing.  Cameron is really good....better than me, and legitimately beats me most of the time!  I get a kick out of just watching him play.  He can't stand still and he gets his whole body into it.

Another year of school over....

Cameron on his last day of preschool for the year.  He was excited to give his teachers their gifts from him.  He worked hard on drawing them pictures to put with the gift.

Cameron and Mrs. LaDawn it was a little sad for me knowing this was his last year at this school with Mrs. LaDawn.  I am putting him in a different preschool next year with his two neighborhood friends.  The fact that is will be $50 a month cheaper is a plus too :)

The next day we came to the school to watch their end of the year performance.  Cameron was soooo excited for this.  He was upset when I picked him up Thursday and we went home.  He said "mom nobody came to the school and we didn't get to do the program, why didn't all the moms come?"  So I had to explain that it was the next day.  I decided to video the program old school style, with the video recorder instead of my camera or phone.  I figured it would be something he would always want to watch.  And I am so glad I recorded it.  Cameron was AWESOME!  He sang sooooo loud (you could hardly hear anyone else), and he did all the actions so cute.  They sang 5 little ducks so they had these duck costumes on.  They also did a few other songs and dance things.  They showed off their skipping skills in a dance form :)

Cameron and his buddy Crew.  I wish I would have got more pictures of him with his friends....

One proud mommy!

One cute sister!  She was enjoying the treats they had after the program.

Mother's Day

Even if I didn't get a good picture of all of us on Mother's Day it was a good day!  Cameron sang with the Primary up on stage for the first time (which made me tear up). Grammy and Grampy came to church to listen to him.  It was nice to have them there!  We spent the day playing at the park, going on a bike ride, and Cameron and I flew his kite.  Jeremy and I went out the night before to Carrabbas and a movie to celebrate.  Excellent dinner, as always, not so excellent movie!!!  I think I fell asleep for a little bit of it, but these days I can fall asleep doing anything....I get up so early and go to bed so late.  Being a mom is a tough job but I wouldn't want to do anything else!  I love my kiddos.  I sure appreciate my mom and knowing what I know now, about how much work it is, I appreciate her even more.  I have some wonderful memories of my mother and the things she did for me and making traditions for our family.  I hope when my kids grow up they will be able to say the same about me!  I have embraced the saying "excuse the mess, my children are making memories" and it is more important to me to play with my kids and to be present with them than to have a clean house.  Happy Mother's Day to me :)

Cameron is so sweet, he loves to pick flowers for me.  He brings me in dandy lions and other flowers he picks while he is out playing every day.  Such a sweet heart.

4 goals

Cameron is loving Spring soccer.  He was excited to wear these Cleats from Troy and that game he scored 4 goals!!

This season Uncle Garry is his coach.  They are doing their "gooooo green alligator" cheer.

Waiting for team pictures....
