Easter celebrations 2014

 The kids started getting excited for Easter after we went to the mall with Grammy and Grampy to meet the Easter Bunny.  They were so cute, they worked hard making pictures for him and couldn't wait to give them to him. 

 Technically we weren't allowed to take any pictures, they wanted you to buy theirs for $30 (the cheapest picture!)...but I got a few of Mr. Bunny.

 These masks they got were hilarious.

 Saturday before Easter was the Riverton Easter egg hunt.  It was insane how many kids were there, how many eggs were there, and how many seconds the whole thing lasted!  Yes I said seconds...ok maybe the little kids 0-2 years lasted a few minutes, but everything was over and done 5 minutes after it started!

 Cameron and Mackenzie were in different age groups so I was glad we went with some friends.  Cameron went with Jayden so I could help Kenzie.  Jeremy got there a few minutes after it started, and like I said it was over...he missed it :)

 We were able to take pictures with the bunnies and Mackenzie was so funny, she wanted to show him all the stuff she got in her basket.

 Easter morning the kids looked for their baskets.  The Easter bunny hid Cameron's basket in a hard to find place.  He eventually found it and thought it was funny the bunny hid it in the pantry on top of the garbage can.

 The kids and I made "resurrection rolls".  They helped me roll a giant marshmallow in butter, cinnamon and sugar and then roll it up in a Pillsbury croissant.  Then we baked them, but when we went to eat them, the marshmallow disappeared.  It wasn't in the roll anymore, so we talked about the resurrection and the meaning of Easter.

 I tried to get some cute pictures of them before church but it was too sunny outside....

 .....and it was too hard to stand still inside.  So these were as good as it gets.  Still pretty cute though!

 After church we headed to Grammy and Grampy's house for Easter dinner and the egg hunt.  Mackenzie had fun and just like to take her time.   Cameron was on a mission.  A mission to find the Golden Egg (he found it a few years ago) that has $5 in it.  He found about 30 other eggs though, Lindsie found the Golden Egg this year.

 The funniest thing is we went to Grammy and Grampy's house a few days later to visit and Cameron was outside playing and ran inside to tell us he found an egg.  He wanted to know if it was okay for him to pick it up and open it.  Grampy hid the eggs really well.

 Everyone was there except Janessa.  She was enjoying Easter at College this year. 

 Then everyone went to open their eggs and count their money.  It was so funny because Mackenzie wasn't expecting money in the eggs, she was expecting candy.  So she would toss her money aside and when she got a chocolate or something in an egg that was exciting and she would eat it.

I brought some dessert this year....it was a chocolate fountain with lots of fun stuff to dip in the chocolate.  It was a wonderful dinner with lots of laughs and the cousins had a blast playing together. I love my family and the traditions we have.  Thanks mom and dad!

Friends, Fun & Spring weather!

 The weather was so nice the last few days (almost 80 degrees)!  Spring is here and the trees are beautiful right now!!  Cameron had his friend Camden come play today and I love how they include Mackenzie too.  I took a bunch of pictures of them having fun.  They were running through the sprinklers and jumping on the trampoline too, but I videoed that with the camcorder because it was so funny. 

 Mackenzie couldn't keep up on the little 4 wheeler, so on the way back she got to ride in the truck and I carried the 4 wheeler :)

 The boys found these hats and came inside laughing.  They thought they were pretty funny, and so did I!  I can't believe all kids can pack in, in one play date!  It's always a whirlwind of treats, drinks, and lots of activities!  Kids are awesome!

Made my day!

Cameron was learning about the letter "M" at pre-school this week.  They talked about "mail" and the kids mailed their mom's letters.  I got the biggest smile on my face and felt so much love in my heart when I opened the mail box the other day and saw this!!!  Inside was the cutest picture he drew of him and me and what he liked about me.  Awwwwhh!  Being a MOM is awesome!  I love my kiddos :)

T-ball time

I love baseball, I love watching games, I love the atmosphere and the concessions, I love this time of year, I love the cute boys in uniform especially number 6!  I hope Cameron loves baseball as much as his mom, I would love to watch him play this sport forever :)

 This is his second year playing.  This year Jeremy is coaching and he is playing with 4 of his friends from the neighborhood....sooooo stinking cute.  I love the uniforms with the name on the back, seems so official :)

 Mackenzie just entertains herself.  We were throwing a baseball to each other during the game and she has an arm on her!  I had to laugh at how hard and accurate she was throwing.  I actually got pegged right in the side of the face by one throw....I am sure she did it on purpose :)

She loves to cheer for "my big broder" and she is so funny she said, "when I get bigger I will play baseball and you will cheer for me and say go Kenzie.  And Grammy and Grampy will cheer go Kenzie!"  

Potty Trained

This little cutie is potty trained!  I think she has it down!  It only took a few days of her showing interest....we brought out Cameron's little potty and she pretty much trained herself!  She usually goes on the big potties, but she still likes her little one.  I forgot how much work this potty training thing is!  We spend more time in the bathrooms at the stores now than in the actual store shopping!  We were at the store the other day and  she had to go to the bathroom 3 times!  And she usually likes to just sit on the toilet after she goes...a few times I have had to make her get off and she gets mad.  I took her to pick out some underwear the other day and she chose Minnie Mouse.  We went to Cameron's baseball game tonight and I didn't even see half of it....yup, we were in and out of the bathroom :)  

Future missionary

Oh how I love my Cameron!!  He is such a special kid.  Today at church he learned about missionaries.  His primary teachers gave him the name tag that said "future missionary".   He was sooo excited to have that and wear it.   As we pulled into our driveway he noticed our neighbors up the street were working in their yard.  Cameron said, "sure looks like they could use a little help.  I am going to go put on my work gloves and see if I can help them."  I quickly pulled in the garage and suggested we go change our clothes and eat lunch (hoping he would be distracted and forget he wanted to go help the neighbors), but this tactic didn't work.  He jumped out of the car and said, "mom I am a missionary and missionaries are helpful so I need to go serve them."  They are a little ornery and not too friendly....they never wave when I wave to them and they just don't seem like very happy people....since I knew this I didn't want it to upset Cameron. I didn't want him to get "rejected" or for them to feel we were trying to "convert" them because he was wearing a missionary tag.  I decided if he really wanted to go offer help them I would let him.  He put his gloves on and off he went.  He said, "hey guys, looks like you could use a little help here.  Can I help you?"  He came back and said, "well they said they didn't need my help.  So can you drive me around the neighborhood and find someone else I can help?"  What a sweet boy I have!!
