Trip to the dentist

Mackenzie was excited to go to her first dentist appointment.  She had been with Cameron a few times so she knew the routine.  She was super good at laying still while they cleaned and flossed her teeth.  The hygienist kept saying she couldn't believe she was holding so still and opening so wide.

You can see Cameron in the back ground getting his x-rays done...

Then they switched places and Mackenzie had x-rays for her first time.  Again, she did awesome!  She opened up and let them put those big things in her mouth to bite on while they took the pictures.  Both of my kids have been awesome at the dentist!

Then the bad news...Mackenzie had a small cavity in her back tooth.  So we had him fill it right then.  He said it wasn't deep enough to need to numb her...and that would be best if she didn't have to have a shot.  So I decided it would be less traumatizing for her (IF the drilling didn't hit a nerve or something!)  Fingers crossed....we moved rooms and prepared her for the filling.  She was a superstar.  Once again, she opened her mouth so wide and kept it open he didn't even have to use the mouth block/guard thing.  The dentist said he had never had such a small patient get a cavity filled and be so amazingly cooperative!  They gave her two prizes and a balloon animal.  I was so proud of her and how brave she was.  I was worried that when we left she wasn't going to like the dentist or want to go back.  The funniest thing is on the ride home she said, "that sure was fun, I can't wait to go back to the dentist!"  I guess the prizes and balloon animal trumped everything :)

My little ballerina

This is seriously the cutest thing EVER!  I can't even stand how cute watching Mackenzie dance is!
Or how tiny all the little girls are and how tiny their costumes are.  Soooo fun having a girl!!

She did two performances, Margo, Lindsie, Mallory, and Troy came the first night to watch.   After we went to dinner at Training Table to celebrate!  Good thing she did two shows, because I thought "oh perfect I will video tonight so tomorrow when I come I can just enjoy and watch it."  Well, when I got home my camera only recorded the first 2 seconds of it, and somehow turned off!

Mackenzie loves dance, and she loves that her cousins Lindsie and Mallory are so good at dance.  She has enjoyed watching a few of their performances!

The next night Cameron, Daddy, Grammy, Grampy, and Aunt Michele came to watch.  Cute Cameron was so excited and kept telling Grammy "Mackenzie is so good at her dance, she is the best one."  He also told Margo, "Mackenzie is really good, she is probably better than Lindsie at dance."  LOL  Such a great, supportive big brother.  He had a baseball game right after Kenzie's dance, so Jeremy and him had to take off right after.  We got Mackenzie and then all went to watch his game.

Behind the scene, getting ready to go on stage.  They were number 7 so we didn't have to wait too long.  Good thing because it went to like number 36!!  Not only did she do awesome in her dance, she wasn't shy at all, she remembered all the moves, and she was hilarious...totally into it!!

Grammy and Grampy brought Mackenzie a present.  Grammy said she thought Mackenzie would rather have that than flowers.  She was excited to open it after her performance!

ADORABLE!!!

Astros Baseball

Jeremy helped coach Cameron's baseball team this year.  He was on the Astros with 4 of his friends from the neighborhood.  It was a great group of boys.

He got the most excited when Grammy and Grampy came to watch him play!

They all got to play catcher a few times...Cameron thought that was fun.

This year they hit off a pitching machine.  If they couldn't hit the ball after 10 tries then they could use the Tee.  However, Cameron was really good at hitting off the machine.  It helped that Jeremy took him to the batting cages several times for practice.

Even though he was good at baseball, I think he just got bored.  At this age there is just a lot of standing around waiting for your turn.  He never wanted to get ready and go to his game.  He always complained and said he didn't want to go...until he got there then he had fun.  However, he said it was boring, and he only liked to play when he played catcher or first base!

Easter FUN

The kids were super excited for Easter and all the egg hunts!  We had a fun neighborhood egg hunt with a bunch of neighbors and in several yards.  I think it will be a new tradition.  Then we went to the Riverton City egg hunt.  It is so crazy and I say to myself "why do we do this?" every year.  It's insanely crowded and lasts all of 30 seconds with the amount of people there.  It takes longer to find a parking spot than do the egg hunt. However, the kids have fun, and that's what it's all about.

This visit to the Easter Bunny was just on accident :)  We went to the mall the first day in April, we went there for the Lego store.  I guess it was meant to be that we ran into the Easter Bunny because we went in the right door where he was all set up (we normally don't go through those doors).  Anyway, we weren't going to stop since my kids weren't "in picture taking clothes etc".  But since there was nobody in line or there at all we stopped to say hi.  Of course they try to talk you into taking pictures.  I told her I would come back when I had them dressed for it, but she took them anyway and I couldn't resist with Kenzie's cute smile!!  Plus why would I want to go back to the mall...and stand in a line for the Easter Bunny when I was so lucky to not have to??

We missed Janessa this year at the annual Easter Egg hunt and dinner at Grammy and Grampy's!  The cousins had a blast as usual, looking for all the eggs and counting up their money at the end.

Yay for Kenzie, she found the Golden Egg this year!!  She was so excited....the $10 was all hers :)

Neighborhood Talent Show

Ok this was hilarious!  Our church did a neighborhood talent show.  Mackenzie wanted to sing and play her guitar.  I wasn't sure how it was going to go down.  She first said she wanted to sing "Radio active" and then she talked about singing "Up Town Funk you Up".  I tried to talk her into something different.  Anyway, she got up there and the lady held the microphone to her and said "what are you going to do tonight Mackenzie?"  And Kenzie said, "I am going to sing like a rock star!"  Needless to say we all started laughing so hard!  The best part is she ended up playing the guitar and not singing at all.  I have a video of it, but couldn't load it...I will try again so check back!

Cameron was so excited to enter a painting of "the beautiful sunset and mountains" you can see on the stand in the picture.  And a picture he drew of a frog (below the painting).  He worked hard on these pictures.  He talks about being a famous artist and selling his paintings someday :)  I think mostly because Grammy has told him he is such a good artist and has talked to him about famous artists who sell their paintings/pictures for a lot of money....LOL

Indoor soccer

Another successful winter 2015 indoor soccer session with Daddy coaching.  Cameron had a lot of fun.  I think he scored 8 goals in on of the games, but he averaged at least 5 a game!

Grammy and Grampy were able to come to a few of his games.  He always gets excited when they come to cheer him on!

Valentine's Day 2015

We got back from Florida the day before Valentine's Day...so good thing I was prepared and planned ahead with their presents!  I LOVE the tradition my mom and dad did for us, so I continue it on with my kids.  We hid in our rooms and they knocked after leaving a gift.

The kids were so excited and happy with their gifts.  The bubble tape was their favorite :)

Cameron was more excited for me to go in my room and for him to leave a present.  He couldn't wait!  I opened the present to find the cutest Mickey Mouse colorful bracelet.  He had picked it out all by himself while we were in Florida and showed it to Jeremy for him to buy me!  Seriously could this kid get any more thoughtful...here we are in Florida, and he is thinking of getting me something for Valentine's Day!  I love him!  I remember walking around the store with him and then all of a sudden he went out of the store, he was walking with something behind his back but wouldn't let me see it.  He kept telling me it was nothing and to go back in the store, he was just looking for dad.  I knew he had something, and thought he was trying to steal it.  Come to find out later he took it out of the store to show Jeremy and get him in the store to buy it.  He didn't want me to see it and he couldn't tell me.  Such a great kid!  He wanted a picture of him giving me the bracelet so this is the picture we took :)
