Keeping up the Benihana birthday dinner tradition! We missed having Grammy and Grampy with us this year. But it's always a fun place to go. I am sad they don't do the shrimp toss/catch to us anymore. I think we may need to find a new place to go. It's just hard to pass up the buy one get one free dinner coupon they send on our birthdays. We go and celebrate Mine, Jeremy's, and Cameron's birthdays all together.

Cameron's 8th bday party - 05/27/2017
Cameron wanted to have a nerf gun war party. We decorated the church with hide outs and targets. I made a shoot the tin can game. Basically they boys just ran around and played nerf wars for two hours. Minus cupcakes and present opening time.
Part of their gifts in their party bags were safety goggles. I made all the kids wear them. Everyone was protected the entire party. Up to the last minute when parents were picking up their kids. Someone shot Cameron right in the eye a foot way from him. He was hurt, his eye was red, he couldn't see, and he was crying. It didn't look so good when all the parents were coming to pick up their kids. I kept telling them hat nobody else had gotten hurt. I guess it was good it was my own kid right?!
I made several of these hide outs for them that we placed all around.
Kenzie even joined in on the war.
Cuties
That night we met Grammy and Grampy at Los Cucos to eat a birthday dinner! They sang to Cameron and brought him some sopapillas.
My favorite picture ever! This is my screen saver on my phone.
Being with Grammy and Grampy is always fun!

The big 4-0!! - 05/19/2017
Jeremy threw a little surprise party for me! It was such a fun/thoughtful idea. I wasn't expecting it at all. I got a little suspicious an hour before the party, only because Cameron kept asking me if anyone had called me. Or if I was going to Amandas yet? So when my friend Amanda called me to see if Jeremy and I could come over to help her hang her clock I knew something was up. I played a long a little...by saying "why do we need Jeremy, I will just come over. You and I can hang up the clock." She just said, "I think its too heavy and we will need him." So Jeremy, myself and the kids walked over to their house. When I walked in everyone yelled "suprise!" Jeremy had a cheesecake and a big Chocolate cake from Costco with ice cream to serve everyone.
He had wanted to have it at our house. The original plan was we were going to go out to dinner and while we were going everyone was going to gather at our house. We always go out to eat the night before a race so I can "carb load". However, I just said I was going to make spaghetti and we could eat at home that night. I guess he had to figure out a plan B.

The next morning I woke up and did a sprint triathlon. I thought it would be fun to do for my 40th birthday!
