Cameron update...

Cam is 9 weeks old and growing so fast now! His hair is growing in at the top of his head, so we don't have to do the comb up anymore :). He has such long eye lashes, I am a little jealous! He discovered his tongue and sticks it out a lot and chews on it. Cameron is constantly moving and HATES to sit still, he know when you are holding him sitting down and he wants you to stand up and hold him...picky picky! He difinitely wears the pants in this family!

A few of his favorite things are #1 his changing table...he LOVES to be on his changing table (as you can tell in these pictures). He smiles and laughes and kicks his legs all around. It is his favorite place in the whole house. #2 He enjoys spending time in his crib and loves his mobile. This is his second favorite place to be. He smiles and moves all around as the music goes and the animals twirl around #3 Cam can stare at the celing fan going around and around and not get bored. It must hypnotize him or something. #4 He tries to talk to mommy when I talk to him. He smiles and struggles to repeat what I am saying. #5 he loves to suck on his hands and has even found his thumb a few times...too cute. #6 I don't know if he loves to throw up, but he sure is good at it! Poor lil' fella keeps doing what he is good at...several times a day :(

WE LOVE YOU CAMERON!

2 month check up

This was not a fun day for Cameron. He had no idea what was going to happen to him today! The saddest thing is he was so happy...he was smiling, cooing, and laughing when the Dr. and nurse were checking him! Even though he is still throwing up he gained 4 pounds! So he weighs 11 lbs 11 oz now (50%), he is 22 inches (20%) and his head is 39.5 cm (40%). So overall he is growing which is great news. I can't believe my little boy is getting so big.
needless to say his happy, carefree mood quickly changed when the nurse stuck him in the thighs with 3 shots :( He cried, and I wanted to cry. Luckily once I picked him up I was able to comfort him and he stopped crying.

Last time we were at the Dr. he peed on the table, this time he threw up on himself, me, and the carpet! I was holding him when they gave him some medicine (vacine stuff) and he gagged, dry heaved and then un-loaded several times. I'm pretty sure they hate it when we come...the whole room needs to be cleaned. I told him we would stop and get a treat since he was so brave, it was a traumatic experience for both of us. We got a cookie from Over The Top Gourmet Cookies. He picked a chocolate, chocolate chip, and andes mint cookie with mint icing. We had a Diet Coke to wash it down and life was good again! Cameron slept on the ride home and tried his hardest to tough out the pain. But he just didn't feel good and was fussy for several hours so I went and got him some Children's Tylenol drops. Hopefully he will be able to sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow.

Cameron & church....

Apparently Cameron doesn't like church...he decided to share his true feelings about us taking him today.
During the middle of singing a song, I looked over at Cameron to see this! Needless to said it was pretty difficult to be reverent the rest of church...I couldn't stop laughing.

Is it wrong to think this is funny....in church? Is it wrong to take pictures during the sacrament...of my son flipping the bird? Is it wrong to think that our sweet and innocent son actually knew what he was doing? I like to think that he has a sense of humor and knew this would make his mom laugh :)

Friday the 13th??

I had to double check the date on Friday to make sure it wasn't the 13th. It turns out it was just a terrible, horrible, rotten, no good, very bad day! The day started off good, Cameron had slept for a 6 hour stretch and it was a beautiful day to go on a walk. We decided to head a different way on Jordan Parkway trail for different scenery. Well, we encountered a big snake! it was right in the middle of the path, so what could we do but RUN right past it and hope we don't scare it. Our walk turned into a run because I kept running about a mile to get far away from the snake fast. I guess Cameron didn't like the snake because he was crying the rest of the way. Then we came home grampy called to tell us that grammy had fallen and broken her femur bone. She was able to call him at work and tell him to hurry home, then she called 911. The ambulance got there before my dad got home from work and they had to break down the back door to get inside. So they rushed her to the hospital and didn't do surgery until later that night around 7 pm. After we ate dinner Jeremy went to test drive a car since we need to get rid of my jeep and get something else fast. I decided to stay home with Cameron because he was acting tired and we had been out a lot already. Jeremy was going to go look at the car and bring it home for me to look at. So I was feeding him when he left...half way into feeding him he was making weird noises so I tried to burp him and instead of a burp he barfed!
I decided to take a picture (since the camera was just sitting there on the coffee table) because I'm pretty sure most people don't understand what I mean when I say Cameron throws up! So many people say, "oh yeah, that is normal...my kid threw up when he/she was a baby...most kids spit up..." Hmmm, I'm thinking when both mom and baby have to shower, wash the couch and rug, and do a load of laundry after he throws up it's not too "normal". You can't even see all the throw up in this picture either, my arm is covered with throw up and so are my shorts. I just hope he gets better soon, poor little guy.

Rub a dub dub

This is the bathtub Cameron used to bath in...

Now he is getting so big he graduated to this bathtub. Today was his first time trying the new tub out and he really liked it. Even though the reason why he was getting a bath was because he just puked all over himself (and me).

Rub a dub dub Cameron's in the tub!

Life is good...

I have tried to take Cameron on walks around the neighborhood, in his stroller during the day but he usually cries the whole time so I never go very far! Today I decided to try something different...since he usually falls asleep in the car I thought I would drive to an entrance to the Jordan River Parkway (it isn't very far from our house). It worked! He fell asleep and slept the entire walk. I was able to enjoy all the pretty wild flowers growing, ducks in the river, birds and butterflys all over, horses and cows in the pastures, and the cutest calfs grazing. It was such a nice day, the sun was shining and the temperture was prfect! I will definitely have to try this again.

Cute babies

Check out this cute video...it made me laugh so hard!! I can picture Cameron on skates doing this!
