24th of July
We had lots of fun exploring other parts of the park and getting a tour of the place on a big train. All the workers there dress in time period clothing, which is interesting to see, but I'm not sure I would want to work there in the summer heat!! We were hot and sweaty.

The Mailman
Swimming
Cameron does have a cautious bone (phew) and wanted me to hold him when we first got in the water. He didn't like the idea of being in the tube right at first. So he observed the other kids swimming and splashing and I let him slowly get comfortable. Then he got on the tube by himself....then sat on the steps....and after that was having a blast climbing in and out and splashing. He didn't want to leave. We will be begging to head back to the pool again. Maybe Cameron can get rid of his farmers tan if we go a few more times :)

Cousin Pictures
Jeremy and I had our family pictures taken a few weeks before these so I really didn't plan on getting any of the ones she took of Cameron....however, I just couldn't pass up these two! When I get the ones back of our family I will post those, but it is taking a long time.
I love his little back side...what a cute picture of him walking on the path!
The 3 boy cousins....Cameron, Troy, and Spencer. Even though they are much older than Cameron, they still love him and have fun playing with him. They will be good examples for him to follow!
Janessa, Spencer, Troy, Lindsie, Cameron, and Mallory.
Cameron wouldn't leave grammy and grampy's wagon alone....I let him play in it until all the other cousins were posed for the picture and then hurry and plop him where the photographer wanted him. Sometimes he would stay and most of the time he wouldn't. Finally I suggested to just have all the kids gather around the wagon for a picture and thought they might actually be some of the best ones because Cameron would at least be happy. She didn't love the idea because she thought it looked less professional and more like an everyday picture. But I think you just have to work with what you've got, and we had an active 1 year old with a mind of his own :)
The best part about these pictures is all of us standing around the photographer making fools out of ourselves. Margo and I dancing and making weird noises, blowing a whistle, throwing grass in the air....Michele waving a puppet all around and making noise with a paper bag. We were trying anything to get Cameron's attention and try to make him smile. Most of the time it just caught his attention and made him stop for a second...I am pretty sure he thought we were crazy though. Finally, we realized we needed Grampy out there to make him smile and laugh. It worked for awhile until he just wanted Grampy to "save" him and hold him :)
There he goes....to have Grampy save him. I actually LOVE this picture, it is my favorite. Mostly because it captures how the day really went and how Cameron really is! I Love this kid and all of his energy and spark. I love my sisters' kids and think they are all such great kids and are so good with Cameron. Somehow the picture doesn't seem complete though! We just might need to add another cousin to the mix. NO that isn't an announcement, just a thought :)
