Another update...

I took Cameron to instacare Sunday morning. He hasn't thrown up since Friday night, but now he has a bad cold. He is really congested, has a horrible cough & a runny nose. I also noticed his lips looked blue to me. I was talking to my mom about it and she said RSV was going around and those were some of the symptoms. Luckily the Dr. said he thought Cam just had a bad cold "but if it gets worse then come back...he could get an ear infection etc." I guess we just paid $40 for peace of mind?! The sad part is he isn't sleeping very well at night because his cough wakes him up and then he starts crying and when he finally falls back asleep he starts coughing again. Poor kid, I feel so sorry for him. Anyway, I guess this week we will camp out at home!

Update

So today is day 6 for Cameron to have the FLU!! I feel so bad for him. We went to the doctor yesterday (day 5) because I was sick of them telling me it was normal for him to still be throwing up and having diarrhea. He was so lethargic and misserable I wanted to know if he was dehydrated. He had lost 2 pounds. I felt so bad for him. It's so sad to see a little kid throw up and be in pain. The worst was he would throw up almost every hour, even while he was sleeping. So he would wake up at 1 am, 3 am & 5 am crying with throw up all over everywhere. We would change him, wash him off, start a load of laundry, put new sheets on his mattress and try to get him back to sleep again. Anyway, he seems to be on the mend...he only threw up once around 3 this morning and his diarrhea is much better. Hopefully he won't lose anymore weight because the next thing we would have to do is take him in for an IV. Cameron is such a trooper and a good kid. He still trys to be happy and smile even though he has no strength. Even though it has been so sad the last 6 days, I have enjoyed holding him and how he cuddles with me and falls asleep on me. I am thankful for Jeremy and how good he is to help! It's not much fun dealing with a sick kid at 2 am! I am lucky to have 2 wonderful boys in my life :) Oh great...I spoke too soon, Cameron just threw up in his crib. At least it's 10:30 and I am already awake. It's much easier to clean him up, change sheets and start wash when I am alert! I hope he gets better...I don't think the flu lasts 6 days??!! PS I didn't post any pictures of his barf or diarreha because of the hate mail I received after posting that picture of his blow out at church ;)

Valentines fun

Cameron had fun on his first Valentine's...

Grammy J and Grampy planned their annual party at Classic Skating. Where the kids got to skate, play in the bounce zone, play lazer tag, use their tokens to play games and win tickets to get prizes. Grammy J made the cute Valentine sacks (you see in the picture) for all the grandkids and the cousins exchanged Valentines with eachother.

Yummy pizza and delicious sugar cookies....

Jeremy pushed Cameron around on Mallory's scooter. Thanks Grammy J and Grampy for such a fun night. We can't wait until next year, Cameron will have fun playing in the bounce zone!

Random stuff

So random....Ok I never watch talk shows especially Regis and Kelly or something like that. However, sometimes I like to have Good Things Utah on while I am folding laundry or feeding Cameron. So a few days ago I turned it on about 10 minutes early and caught the last few minutes of Regis and Kelly (?) and they were talking about a contest "Beautiful Baby Search" or "America's Beautiful babies" oh-well the name really doesn't matter. Anyway, I decided (just like every other parent out there) that MY kid is the cutest and could win! They announced the deadline was that day in a few hours or something....so I just decided what the heck! I was torn though, helmet or no helmet, that was the question. On one hand the helmet is him right now so I said helmet (plus he might get a sympathy vote or two), then on the other hand he will only have his helmet on for another few weeks, and if they don't pick the winner until March like they said, then he won't be wearing his helmet anymore so it wouldn't be him....sigh! I chose option #2 no helmet and this is the cute picture I sent in! I have no idea how the contest works, I actually have no clue about any of it, but they said something about voting for your favorites March 1st, I assume on their website liveregisandkelly.com so mark the date on your calandar and vote for Camaroo!
He totally posed like this himself, he is so GQ!

A random video of Cameron and his contagious laugh!

Now that Cameron can crawl he is everywhere and into everthing!! He isn't satisfied with just crawling and playing on the ground...he has to pull himself up to everything and stand! This kid is going to be walking too soon. He found the kitchen cabinets today :)

8 months old

Little Cam is growing up so fast! He is 8 months old today. He is at such a cute and fun age, and can entertain himself for long periods of time (yeah!) I love watching his little personality come out more and more each day. Now that he is crawling there is no stopping him. He loves to explore and thought it would be fun to go under the saucer instead of in the saucer. He pulls himself up to things and can balance and stand on his own pretty well. It cracks me up the cute little noises he makes when he crawls to something he hasn't seen before. He recently decided he liked to eat food, including his veggies but fruit is his favorite & he likes rice cereal too. Cameron loves books, loves his toys that play music and make noise, and loves to be outside! Cameron enjoys going shopping and running errands with mommy...he is so curious and enjoys being around people and observing his surroundings. It works out great for both of us, we find somewhere to go every day so we aren't bored at home all day! Plus he still hates taking afternoon naps, unless he is in the car so he usually falls asleep on the ride home.
We LOVE you Cameron. Thanks for making our lives so much more meaningful and happy. I LOVE being your mom & best friend ;)

Ski (or snowboard) Utah!!

Jeremy and I had a GREAT day skiing and snowboarding. Although we weren't sure we would make it to Snowbird after we dropped Cameron off at my parents at 8:45 am, grabbed some bagels for breakfast and headed up the mountain. We hadn't even hit the base of the mountain yet and the traffic was horrible! It took us 2 hrs to get up the mountain. By the time we parked and got in line for our first run it was around 11:15. Then it took us about 1 1/2 hours to get through the line and down the hill for one run!! You can see how packed the lines are in this picture below (in the middle/bottom of the pic).

We knew it would be crowded because it was a Saturday and there was some pretty AWESOME snow. You can see how much powder there was in some places, you can't even see my board and the snow went to my waist in some spots! We figured we wouldn't get more than 3 runs in all day if we were lucky. But the lines died down after the back side of the mountain opened up. They closed a certain part of the resort to do avalanche control. So once they opened it up it opened up some other runs. We actually got in pleanty of runs to wear ourselves out and make ourselves sore!

The trees looked so pretty with all the snow on them. It was a cold day with it snowing, some wind and no sun, but we kept warm.

Jeremy thought this was the funniest sign, he had to stop and take a picture. There is a cat trail that runs in the middle of this hill, so the people that are skiing E/W have to watch for the ones coming down the hill. We had a great day and can't wait to hit the slopes again this winter (hopefully)!
