Just posting some cute pics of little Cameron in his sunglasses....

I had to snap them quick because he only left them on for about 5 seconds :)

A typical day....

So a typical day for us consists of being outside, then inside, and outside again! He wanted to bring some toys outside this day. As you can see in the video he doesn't stay doing one thing long....he explores EVERYTHING, things I didn't even think he would notice :) He has crawled through the doggie door before and thought it was funny until he got stuck once!

I love when he plays ring around the rosies, especially when he plays it by himself :) I get dizzy because we have to play it 100 times in a row! He loves life and is so much FUN to play with all day, we are never bored!

16 Months going on 3 years

Then he stands in things....he usually stands in my pots or gets in the laundry basket. But he will try to fit into anything really.


Finally, he sits down in or on whatever it is. He is Mr. Curious and in always on the go taking things apart (the tape dispenser just today), stacking things, throwing things (anything)....especially down the stairs. This can entertain him for a long time. I enjoy watching his reaction to things bouncing down the stairs he gets so excited. Cameron seems older than 16 months to me, but I am just comparing him to friends his age and what people tell me. Some of the things Cameron likes to do now (and the last 2 months) is: CLIMB on anything; clap after he does something; do Head Shoulders Knees and Toes....pointing to his toes, head and noes; play Ring Around The Rosies....a million times a day. Sometimes he just plays it by himself, but when he wants to play EVRYONE in the room has to play, he likes to include everyone :) He is usually hiding something and puts his little hands up saying "where's" he hides his toys, he will put a towel over his face, or hide his fork while he is eating etc...the best is when he is entertaining himself and I find him playing the game with himself. He still LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and pulls me to the TV pointing to it saying "moss". My favorite thing is to watch him laugh when he finds something funny then looks at me to see if I saw it too. He LOVES bubbles and ever since his first experience with them in nursery he gets so excited and says "bubbs". Cameron could play outside ALL day, rain or shine. We played in the sand pile and on the swings today in the rain storm....it didn't bother him! He is doing much better with eating and is a meat eater....loving fish, chicken, eggs, oatmeal, cheese, yogurt, pudding, bread and chocolate anything. He still struggles with texture of things, mostly veggies and fruit! He has mad skills with his spoon and fork these days.

He likes to help pick out his clothes to wear. When I say "let's go find something for you to wear today, what do you want to wear?" He runs in his room and goes to his closet pointing or pulling something off the hanger saying "dis, dis!!" Today I picked out the black and grey shirt and jeans. He kept pointing to the orange vest saying "dis, dis"....I didn't think it was cold enough to wear it so didn't put it on him. He brought it out of his room and insisted he wore it, trying to put it on himself. As usual, his persistence paid off :)

Yes this little face is just too cute! However, don't mistake it for a totally innocent face :) This kid is dang fast and can do some serious damage! While my sister and her husband were in Hawaii last week my parents stayed at their house and watched their kids. Cameron and I went over there one day to visit. We were upstairs where he picked up a 5 lb weight, like it was nothing, and proceeded to hurl it down the stairs before I could grab it from him. Well, it bounced off the landing, into the wall, back on the landing, into the railing and onto the tile floor. It sounded like a bowling ball rolling down the stairs and into the wall. The damage was pretty good....leaving a decent size hole in the wall along with a smaller dent below the hole. A big thanks to Grampy for saving the day (and Cameron's life) before Michele and Barry got home. He patched it and painted it so perfectly that they couldn't even tell where it happened when they got home. THEN.....today I went to lunch with my mom and sisters.....to Kneaders....we ordered, sat at our tables and I went to get my drink when I hear this horrible crash, thud, bang! I already knew what it was without even seeing what happened because unfortunately, he had done this same thing several months ago when we all went to lunch there. He had knocked this ginormous metal stand that holds a huge chalkboard in a wooden frame down onto the ground. Last time it only chipped the wood, today it completely broke it! The owner came rushing over (saw it was us again) and in a not so happy mood picked it all up. I appologized asking if I could pay for it or do anything...he replied "no, don't worry about it just keep coming back." My sister and I laughed because we thought he said "just don't come back!" Cam and I go there at least once a week so he knows me too! I think we might take a break from there....actually give them a break from us :) So this sums up Cameron and his active little 16 mo old self. I wouldn't change a thing about him!! I adore all of him and look forward to the next thing we encounter....

a "relaxing" day...

Cam and I went to Thanksgiving Point to walk around the gardens and enjoy the weather. He had fun smelling all the flowers and running around!! I had fun chasing him....it was nice because we were pretty much the only ones in the place.

He loved the penguins, he got so excited when he saw them. His favorite part of the day was running up and down this little path and stopping to smell the flowers. I think we spent at least 30 minutes in this exact spot. Finally, I decided to film him :)

Red Rock Relay

I ran another relay race...this one started in Brian Head and ended in Zion (186 miles). It was a BLAST! I love running these relay races....I love running any race really. But these are just more exciting, exhausting, and challenging. You are "stuck" in a van with 5 other people for a few days....you eat what you bring with you and you sleep when/if you can while the other van on your team is running. We actually got to lay our sleeping bags on a patch of lawn and get a half hour of sleep this time!

The gang....most of us didn't know eachother. In fact it seems like everyone only knew one or two other people on the team. It was one of those "hey we need to get a team of 12 people to run, so everyone find one person." 2 people in our van got sick or injured so we had to split up their runs, which just meant more miles for me.

I did the vinyl decals for the van. Melissa picked a Hawaiian team name "Holo Ha'ahea" meaning 'run with pride'...so I just did some flowers, our names etc. I thought the "wannahockaloogie" was pretty good :)

Jyl, Shari, and Kacie. Got to love the packing job in the van. It was close quarters for 2 days. The good thing about that is, you can't wait for your turn to run because you get out of the van and can actually move your arms and legs!!

Me on one of my LONG runs in 95 degrees. I had just ran 3 miles straight up the mountain...it was pretty cool because it was on a dirt trail that wound into the mountain and when I got to the top it was an awesome view. But by the time I was done climbing that hill I was ready for this nice streatch of flat.

Here are a few of the weirdos we saw. It's always interesting to see what lengths some people go to in the name of running. So glad I wasn't on the 'orange' team!!

...or the 'chicken hat' team! First of all isn't that HOT? Second of all doesn't that chicken on your head throw you off balance or feel awkward at all?

Ok this WASN'T a costume (girl in red shirt)! And actually we are pretending to be taking a picture of me (notice my arm in the left bottom corner). So, I nicknamed this girl "bump it" because of her hair of course. I only learned of these bump it hairdos thanks to my sister-in-law. The funniest thing is this is how she seriously wore her hair. That is an atrocious hair-do in the first place, but to wear your hair like that RUNNING is wrong on so many levels :) Too bad the picture doesn't even do it justice...we should have zoomed in!

Fun....

Cameron is easily entertained, as most kids are I guess. He loves to play in/around this water feature just outside of Nordstrom Rack. So I let him play in it before we go shopping and then after we are done shopping. Here is a little clip of him....

15 month well check

Where has the time gone?? Everyone said it would go by fast....it really has! My little BABY is turning into a little BOY! Cameron turned 15 months on August 27th and had his Dr. appointment today. He got 3 shots in his leg (two in his left and one in his right) and he DIDN'T even cry.....not one tiny tear! He was in shock and couldn't figure out what she was doing to him, but didn't put up a fight at all. Cameron jumped from the 5th% to the 8th% in weight, weighing in at 20 lbs 10 oz. (that 10 oz is what moved him up the rank I guess). He is 31 1/2" putting him in the 60th% for height. She said basically he is tall and skiny. I don't think he is either of those....to me he just looks like a normal and average kid. And his head shape is great and it is growing normally! So all is well with the little man, other than him having a cold :(

but now he has discovered it is much more fun to climb onto it....

and finally jump from it. I don't have the action jumping picture, but he does this about a million times a day. He loves it and laughs. Basically he is in the climb on anything he can stage. I am just glad he hasn't figured out how to climb up his crib and jump from it...I am sure that is right around the corner though. I LOVE all of these stages he is gowing through. It seriously amazes me every day the things he does, how smart he is, and how he can make me laugh and smile like nobody else! He hides his hand inside of his shirt or something and then puts his other hand in the air and says "where is" and then pulls out his hand and says "theresss" in a really cute tone.
