our morning started out with a drive up Emigration Canyon (a very slow drive...there was a marathon that day and lots of lanes were blocked and roads closed) to Ruth's Diner. It is a great place to eat, especially for breakfast! Jeremy's brother and his family hadn't been there before so we thought we would start off our morning with some delicious food. We had a big day ahead of us....

After breakfast we went to This is the Place Heritage Park. Cameron rode on his first horse and had lots of fun! There was also a little petting zoo where he checked out the animals. The sad thing is there was a fire a few weeks before and burned down the main barn and killed lots of the animals. So there weren't very many there this day :(

There was a cute little train ride that we rode over and over and over. Cameron thought it was pretty cool.

Daddy went with us once and had his fill of fun....so Cameron and I rode it without him a few times :)

There was this cute little play area with mini houses and a wooden train, the kids loved playing in this area and ran from house to house.

It was so cute to watch Cameron play and figure out things to do....like stick his head out the window!

"Hey guys I'm in here..."

Cameron loves to drive things and played train conductor for awhile.

Then the kids (and me) panned for gold. I found some! The best part is you can turn the gold in for candy :)
We had lots of fun exploring other parts of the park and getting a tour of the place on a big train. All the workers there dress in time period clothing, which is interesting to see, but I'm not sure I would want to work there in the summer heat!! We were hot and sweaty.
One thing is for sure....you certainly have given Cameron a chance to experience a lot of wonderful things. No wonder he is so well adjusted and loves life. Every day is another day of excitment:) Cameron thanks you for being such GREAT PARENTS! And, so does Grammy!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder he loves to spend his day LAUGHING!
